Toni tapped in a rebound after Iturbe's shot was saved. Catania's goalkeeper was credited with the second after a Toni header cannoned off the crossbar and whacked Frison in the head before bouncing into the net. Marquinho scored the third in the last minute of half time, bouncing Taleb's cross off his mid-riff before rifling into the bottom corner. Sala returned Frison's awful goalkick to Gomez for the fourth.

Zaza, on loan from Juventus, recovered from a heavy first touch to beat Buffon from a tight angle at his near post, via a deflection. Tevez equalised with a great shot from the edge of the box. Pirlo made the second with a perfectly weighted first time pass. Llorente ran across goal to sweep in a Lichtsteiner centre with his trailing leg. Nice finish.

Joaquin fired in a centre from the right and Cuadrado's miss hit shot bounced in off the left post. Bologna and lice's favourite opponents and he made it 2-0 via a deflection. Cuadrado stood off Antonsson as he received Ambrosini's pass then turned on the afterburners as he ran past him and hammered a right foot shot inside the left post.

Pjanic broke the deadlock two minutes before half time with what would have been a magnificent goal but for the awful finish. Running 30 yards from goal he flicked the ball away from Montolivo as he jumped in with a tackle and as Rami approached he nutmegged him before shooting straight at Abbiati who could only pathetically parry the ball into his own net. Time to hang up the gloves. Earth, Wind and Fire tapped in a rebound after Abbiati saved from Totti.

In the post match interviews Balotelli got into heated exchanges with Marocchi (ex Juve), who criticised him for not working hard enough. Balotelli said he understood nothing about football at which point Boban joined in and told him he should be more self critical. In tough games he does go missing, at least he has this season but in his defence the team are a joke. Balotelli is being made a scapegoat for the failings of others namely Galliani for the awful squad he has assembled. Despite winning five games in a row rumours are Seedorf will be canned at the end of the season - as he should given he doesn't play the young players who are the future of the club.
