Bovo fouled Gomez for the penalty. Immobile equalised four minutes into the second half when he beat the Verona offside trap and shot past Rafael to continue his excellent scoring run - he's only failed to score once in his last 8 games. Cerci met El Kaddouri's centre with a fantastic first time strike into the bottom left corner then returned the favour for the Moroccan's third goal of the season.

CATANIA 3 (Izco 41 seconds, Spolli 48, Peruzzi 58)
LAZIO 1 (Mauri 46)
Izco scored within the first minute, running in from the right he cut across the ball to hammer a shot in off a post. Brilliant finish. In first half injury time Andujar made a feeble attempt to save Mauri's header - back after a six month ban for his part in the latest match fixing scandal to hit Italian football though at this stage no one knows how serious it really is. Spolli restored Catania's lead with a stunning diving header. Right back Peruzzi made a surging run into the box and played a one-two with Keko before shooting past Berisha to move the racists off bottom place.
I wonder if Lazio's shock defeat has anything to do with Mauri's return?

Schelotto finished off some slow motion build-up with an early shot which beat Consigli at his near post.
