Novaretti headed down a free kick and Mauri headed Lazio into the lead. Meggiorini poked a ball through Cavanda's legs for Kurtic to equalise. Padelli took out Keita for the penalty. Candreva converted with a Panenka. He has to go to the World Cup. Novaretti was sent off for a 'professional foul'. Within two minutes of replacing Kurtic, Tachtsidis equalised from a corner. Baretto laid off Anderson's pass to Immobile and he smashed in his 20th goal of the season. Lazio got a lucky lucky equaliser when Anderson's awful shot skid across the turf and landed at Candreva's feet, 3-3.

Peruzzi flicked up Bergessio's header and Leto scored a sensational left foot overhead (crescent) kick, corking his body as he landed on his back, facing goal! The bull Okaka scored a brilliant solo goal as he ran from the half way line, he held off Izco then pushed the ball to the right side of Peruzzi before running around from his left and thumping the ball in off the underside of the crossbar. A longball unglued the Sampdoria defence and although Bergessio finished with aplomb it had nothing on the two goals previous.

De Maio repeated the ineptitude when he failed to clear after intercepting a pass and facing his own goal, Perin saved from Sau but Ibarbo followed up to secure Cagliari's first away win in 14 months.
