NAPOLI 4 (Mertens 42, Higuain 49 Pen, Higuain 67, Higuain 94)
LAZIO 2 (Lulic 21, Onazi 82)

A sharp turn took Lulic away from his marker and he fired across goal Reina to give Lazio the lead. Mertens equalised with a fantastic right foot shot from 25 yards. He must be good for one World Cup goal. Mertens was fouled for the penalty. Higuain headed on a longball and took a touch before blasting past Berisha from a tight angle. Great finish. Onazi punished a mistake by Reina to bring Lazio to within a goal but another defensive mistake at the other end gave Napoli all three points.

SAMPDORIA 0
INTER 4 (Icardi 13, Samuel 60, Icardi 63, Palacio 79)

This was a sad day for Maxi Lopez. He refused love cheat Icardi's (the man who stole his wife) offer to shake hands and could only watch helplessly as Icardi screwed his team over as well. He scored the first with a tap in at the near post. Maxi Lopez had a chance to equalise but Handanovic saved his penalty. Eder was booked for diving then fought with the entire Inter team to earn himself a second yellow. Samp then fell apart. Samuel's muscular header doubled their lead and Icardi combined with Palacio again for their third. Palacio ran in from the left to hammer home Inter's fourth.

VERONA 3 (Sala 14, Toni 73 Pen, Iturbe 91)
FIORENTINA 5 (Cuadrado 31, Aquilani 44, Valero 63, Matri 83 Pen, Aquilani 86)

Neto parried a shot straight to Sala. Cuadrado scored a brilliant equaliser, sweeping into the far corner after blitzing through the Verona defence onto Valero's pass. Aquilani gave Fiorentina the lead with a tap in at the back post. Valero also scored a tap-in after Rafael could only parry an Aquilani header into his path. Donadel was sent off for taking out Cuadrado. Both teams traded penalties before Aquilani scored a tap-in after Rafael once again failed to hold a shot. The brilliant Iturbe scored with a typically explosive shot. The boy has a lot of talent but its hard to determine how good he can be given how tiny he is and the role he plays for Verona.
