ATALANTA 3 (Denis 48, Denis 64, Moralez 70)
NAPOLI 0
Having signed four players in the transfer window Benitez decided this was a good time to rest Higuain and Hamsik - ahead of their cup game against Roma.
Three minutes into the second half Reina fumbled a shot from distance. Inler sliced a clearance straight to Denis and he juggled the ball off his knee before blasting past Reina. Mertens was booked for diving. Denis flicked on a monstrous goalkick and new signing Cigarini slipped to leave Moralez with only Reina to beat and he made no mistake.
Luckily for Napoli Fiorentina also screwed up this weekend but if they fail to claim a champions league place Benitez will be sacked.

CATANIA 3 (Bergessio 61, Barrientos 75, Almiron 88)
LIVORNO 3 (Emeghara 51, Paulinho 72 Pen, Emeghara 78)
Emeghara tapped in a rebound after Emerson forced a save from Frison. Bergessio scored at the second attempt after being played in by Barrientos. Emeghara dived to win the penalty but three minutes later Barrientos fired in the equaliser from Castro's corner. Emeghara tapped in another rebound. Sloppy, sloppy defending allowed Almiron to snatch a late equaliser at the back post. The result helps neither side.

LAZIO 2 (Candreva 6, Keita 70)
Candreva flicked Keita's centre around a defender then lashed a volley into the net. Excellent goal. Awful goalkeeping allowed the teenager to score Lazio's second from the edge of the box.

SASSUOLO 1 (Floro Flores 93)
VERONA 2 (Manfredini 50 og, Toni 86)
Manfredini could barely hide his embarrassment as he slid to convert Hallfredsson's cross to give the visitors the lead. Taleb flicked on a ball and Toni lobbed over Pegolo as he came off his line. Floro Flores headed in a Berardi free kick.

JUVENTUS 3 (Lichtsteiner 15. Chiellini 47, Vidal 56)
INTER 1 (Rolando 71)
Lichtsteiner headed Juve into the lead from a superb Pirlo cross. Inter blew several chances to clear a corner, the ball eventually hit Pogba and Chiellini smashed it past Handanovic. Vidal tapped in a rebound after Inter were caught napping on a throw in. More bad set piece defending cost Juve a goal on a corner but it didn't matter.
Inter absolutely suck. I can't see Hernanes making a great difference, it's Inter's defence and lack of bite in attack (due to Mazzari's lack of trust in young players) that's the problem.

MILAN 1 (Rami 49)
TORINO 1 (Immobile 17)
Seedorf demonstrated his grasp of tactics by employing a high line with slow defenders. Rami failed to react to a pass down the left flank and Bonera immediately appealed for offside like the fucking idiot he is while hopelessly backtracking, Immobile turning him inside out before opening his body and curling a shot inside the right post. Rami equalised via a deflection from the edge of the box.
