ROMA 2 (Maicon 7, Destro 67)
FIORENTINA 1 (Vargas 29)

Gervinho danced around the Fiorentina defence, Florenzi miss-kicked and Maicon scored. Vargas blasted Fiorentina level after Tomovic overcooked her centre. Destro came off the bench to smash home a Gervinho centre and end Roma's four game winless run. Totti was back on the bench and may start next week.

Attendance : 48,318
Red Card : Pjanic 88 (Roma)
Assists : Florenzi, Tomovic, Gervinho

CAGLIARI 2 (Sau 76, Sau 92)
GENOA 1 (Gilardino 16)

Gilardino gave Genoa an early lead but Cagliari hit back with late goals from last season's revelation Sau, thanks in no part to Manfredini picking up two cheap bookings. Sau ran past four players before ripping a shot into the roof of the net. Nene sliced an overhead kick and Sau plundered the winner at the back post.

Attendance : 6,500
Red Card : Manfredini 44 (Genoa)
Assists : Lodi, Pinilla, Nene

VERONA 2 (Gomez 82, Jorginho 86 Pen)
ATALANTA 1 (Denis 42)

Verona fell behind when Denis ran through their defence and lobbed over Rafael, who went down far too early. Gomez equalised with a bullet header and Cazzola fouled Cacia to concede the penalty.

Attendance : 20,000
Red Card : Cazzola 85 (Atalanta)
Assists : Kone, Romulo, Cacia (won pen)

SAMPDORIA 2 (Eder 55, Gabbiadini 77)

INTER 3 (Palacio 44, Palacio 54, Guarin 56)
PARMA 3 (Sansone 11, Parolo 46, Sansone 60)

Ranocchia left a gap for Sansone to run onto Marchionni's pass and give Parma a shock lead. Palacio flung himself at Jonathan's cross to equalise. Parma hit back immediately to take a half time lead. Handanovic dropped what should have been a routine catch to leave the alert Parolo with a tap-in. Palacio headed in a superb Alvarez cross and when Guarin scored via a deflection two minutes later to finally give Inter the lead. Parma must have feared the worst but Inter's defence left Cassani in space on the right and he picked out Sansone to score his second and Parma's third.

Inter have failed miserably to take advantage of Napoli's poor recent form and close the gap to third place and with Napoli not likely to have UCL distractions after this week they could live to regret it. Following Thohir's takeover they should have money in January for defensive reinforcements.

Attendance : 33,732
Assists : Marchionni, Jonathan, n/a, Alvarez, Palacio, Cassani

7 December 2013 BOLOGNA 0
JUVENTUS 2 (Vidal 12, Chiellini 89)

Peluso found Vidal unmarked at the back post and he took a touch before lifting over Curci as he dived at his feet. Chiellini headed in Juve's second at the near post.

Attendance : 30,490
Assists : Peluso, Tevez

LIVORNO 2 (Siligardi 26, Paulinho 58)
MILAN 2 (Balotelli 7, Balotelli 84 fk)

Balotelli tapped in the first from Kaka's centre but as usual Milan's defence proved to be their undoing. There wasn't much they could have done about the first, an excellent shot which Siligardi curled past Gabriel but Zapata was hopelessly caught out of position as Paulinho raced onto Siligardi's through pass and smashed low and hard past Gabriel. Balotelli equalised with a stunning free kick from miles out.

Attendance : 15,706
Assists : Kaka', Schiattarella, Siligardi, Balotelli (won fk)

NAPOLI 3 (Pandev 38, Pandev 41, Dzemaili 71)
UDINESE 3 (Fernandez 45 og, Fernandes 70, Basta 80)

Fernandez headed down Insigne's awful corner and Pandev scrambled Napoli into the lead. He added a second five minutes before the break following good work by Higuain. Fernandez put through his own net under pressure for Heurtaux. Inler lost the ball after Allan shoved him in the back, Fernandes drove forward and hit a rising shot over Rafael (Verona's goalkeeper is also a Brazilian named Rafael) after he had strayed to the edge of the six yard box. Brilliant goal. Dzemaili put Napoli back in front, tapping in a rebound after Higuain forced a save. Napoli switched off on a corner and Basta scored at the second time of asking.

Despite fielding a full strength side with a UCL game in mid-week Napoli still couldn't take all three points. They need an entire new back four if they're going to have any hopes of winning the scudetto anytime soon.

Attendance : 28,000
Red Card : Guidolin 82 (Udinese)
Assists : Fernandez, Higuain, n/a, n/a, n/a, Lazzari
