ATALANTA 2 (De Luca 22, Denis 59)

Attendance : 14,000

CHIEVO 3 (Paloschi 7 Pen, Paloschi 78, Rigoni 89)
BOLOGNA 0

Ruben dived to win the penalty. Krhin failed to make good contact with a defensive header allowing Paloschi to stole in and grab his second. Rigoni finished off Bologna in fine style. Trapping Dainelli's cross on his chest, he stepped inside his marker before slotting past Curci.

Attendance : 11,000
Assists : Ruben (won pen), n/a, Dainelli

FIORENTINA 0
MILAN 2 (Mexes 23, Balotelli 64 fk)

This was one of the shock results of the season, even taking into account Fiorentina's indifferent form. A Balotelli free kick proved too hot for Neto to handball and Mexes headed in the rebound. Balotelli ensured victory against a very disappointing Fiorentina side (who have lost Gomez to injury again) with a brilliant free kick.

Attendance : 31,000

CATANIA 2 (Monzon 52, Gyomber 75)
NAPOLI 4 (Zapata 17, Callejon 25, Henrique 40, Zapata 43)

Benitez rested Higuain ahead of the weekend's game against Juve and his replacement opening the scoring from a Callejon centre. Andujar ran off his line to attack an inswinging cross but at the last minute, possibly fearing being sent off, backed out of a challenge leaving Callejon to tap into an empty net. Henrique scored one of the goals of the season, a Van Basten style volley. He played a one-two with Hamsik and from the right of the penalty box from an acute angle caught the ball on the volley sending it violently dipping and swerving into the top left corner. Zapata headed a goalkick back to Callejon and as two defenders converged he slipped a pass out wide for the Colombian's second. Napoli switched off in the second half though given how crap their defence is conceding a goal is always a possibility. Monzon tapped in after Reina saved from Plasil and Gyomber also scored his first Serie A goal, from a Lodi corner.

Attendance : 14,000

JUVENTUS 2 (Tevez 25, Tevez 32)
PARMA 1 (Molinaro 62)

Not surprisingly Parma's 17 match unbeaten run came to an end against the last team to have defeated them. Tevez showed good strength to hold off Felipe as he ran in from the right and angled a shot past Mirante. Mirante flapped at Vidal's cross and Tevez tapped in the rebound to go top of the Serie A goalscoring charts. Molinaro, who struggled for five years at Juventus, scored what proved to be a brilliant consolation goal. He bounced a clearance off his chest, took two steps forward then blasted past Buffon.

SASSUOLO 1 (Longhi 16)
SAMPDORIA 2 (Sansone 1, Okaka 66)

Sansone weaved his way between two defenders to scored a fine solo goal. Longhi tapped in Zaza's centre to equalise. Okaka, who has a Lukaku type build but a Heskey type scoring record, headed into an empty net after a high ball forced Pegolo off his line.

Attendance : 12,000
Assists : Bjarnason, Zaza, Eder

GENOA 2 (Gilardino 65, Fetfatzidis 83)
LAZIO 0

Sculli scored a rare goal from open play when tapping home Sculli's centre. Cabral's put in Fetfatzidis for his first Serie A goal with a clever flick.

Attendance : 20,000
Assists : Sculli, Cabral

25 March 2014

ROMA 2 (Destro 41, Florenzi 91)
TORINO 1 (Immobile 52)

Gervinho dribbled through the Torino defence before playing in Destro for his 9th goal of the season. Immobile scored a fantastic equaliser. He pulled off the shoulder of a defender before volleying Vives' crossfield pass inside the right post. Roma scored a fortuitous last minute winner. A Torino midfielder slipped when running forward, Maicon passed to Gervinho and he played in Florenzi who took a touch before blasting past Padelli.

Immobile is almost certainly going to finish on 20 league goals this season. He HAS to go to Brazil because Balotelli aside there are no more options. Rossi is injured, as usual, and even if he recovers it's only a matter of time before he breaks down.

Attendance : 31,979
Assists : Gervinho, Vives, Gervinho
