Although goals were at a premium this week Biabiany scored one of the ugliest you'll ever see. Gobbi fired in a shot from the edge of the box and Biabiany fell over deflecting the ball into the bottom right corner. Rafael tried to dribble past Cassano but he intercepted, turned and sent a lob against the crossbar and Schelotto headed into an empty net.

SAMPDORIA 4 (Krsticic 49, Ceccherini 53 og, Okaka 68, Gabbiadini 75)
LIVORNO 2 (Mbaye 19, Mbaye 27)
Livorno's teenage defender (on loan from Inter) was on course to become an unlikely match winner with two first half goals. Mesbah rattled the crossbar with a thumping drive and Mbaye headed in the rebound. Greco Quickly switched the ball from his left foot to his right foot as he dribbled inside two players, his centre took a deflection off Benassi and Mbaye again scrambled home. Not sure what he was doing in attack. Krsticic began an extraordinary second half comeback when he followed up a rebound. Mbaye tried to head a deep cross out of play but only succeeded in heading in back across goal and team-mate Ceccherini poked it post his own 'keeper. Okaka gave Sampdoria the lead via a massive deflection then set up Gabbiadini, who is finally beginning to fulfil his potential, for the fourth.
