Cuadrado was man of the match as Fiorentina won the first (and hopefully last) Monday night game of the season. Rossi trapped his centre before picking his spot. Pizarro's idiotic back heel gifted Catania the equalsier but he made ammends with the winner. Cuadrado forced a clerance with some outeagrous footwork, Pizarro gathered the ball, dropped a shoulder to go past a defender then smashed a shot into the top right corner.

Nagatomo headed in a deflected cross. Palacio flicked home a superb Guarin pass as Inter eventually made their second half superioty show.

Brighi slipped as he ran onto Immobile's centre to send a scruffy shot inside the left post. Cerci, linked with moves all summer, continued where he left off last season as he cut in from the right and blasted a shot into the opposite corner.

Curci parried a Hamsik shot and Callejon tapped in the rebound. Hamsik's silky footwork took him away from a defender and he rounded Curci before squeezing in the ball from a tight angle. De Rossi blasted a nervous Roma into the lead with a brilliant first time shot form 30 yards. Florenzi watched a longball drop over his shoulder and lashed a half volley past Italy's U21 goalkeeper Franceso Bardi.

Hernanes crashed home a left footed shot from a riduclous angle. Calava tripped Klose to concede the penalty. Muriel burst onto a Lazzari pass and left the Lazio defence for dead before pulling a goal back. Teenage Polish midfielder Zielinski should have equalised but shanked horribly wide from six yards out.

Stendardo bounced a header into the ground and it looper over Agliardi in the Cagliari goal. Nainggolan equalised from Sau's beautiful lay-off and Cabrera side-footed home the winner from Murru's centre.

Poli broke two tackles as he ran onto a Balotelli through pass to score his first official Milan goal. Milan conceeded more goals from set pieces than any other team last season (15) and Verona exposed this weakness through Toni. He headed in the equaliser from Romulo's corner and headed in the winner after Jankovic hung up a cross to the back post.
