Milevski apparently got the faintest of touches to a free kick, Valdes seemed to catch the ball then dropped it into his own net. Dreadful mistake. Barca scored a wonderful equaliser. Ibrahimovic and Messi worked the ball out wide to Keita and Xavi slid his perfectly weighted first time centre past Shovkovskiy. Messi hit the winner five minutes from time, a left footed free kick which crashed in off the underside of the crossbar.

The much maligned Mario Balotelli demonstrated his staggering talent to inspire Inter into the last 16. Zanetti's tenacity on the left flank forced a mistake by a defender, Balotelli flicked the ball back to Eto'o who absolutely hammered it past Ryzhikov. Mid way though the second half Balotelli scored with a brilliant 30 yard free kick.

Pogrebnyak miscued yards from goal following great work by Hleb but Rudy was on hand to put away the rebound. Seconds after Miller was tackled as he tried to run onto a through ball Stuttgart hit Rangers with a sucker punch, a ball out wide released Rudy and Kuzmanovic headed his cross past McGregor.
Stuttgart have to beat Gonorrhoea in their final match to go through. I had Gonorrhoea once, I came out in a rash.

Shevchenko rolled back the years to score his 15th career goal against Inter. He controlled a ball on his chest before sending a dipping left foot half volley over Julio Cesar. Dynamo failed to get tight on Milito and he punished them with a precise low drive which wrong footed Bogush. Bogush spilled from Muntari, saved from Milito on the follow-up but was finally beaten by Sneijder whose goal sends Inter top of a very tight group.

Rubin goalkeeper Ryzhikov launched a goal kick high into the Barca half, the ball fell to Ryazantsev via Toure's sloppy touch and from 40 yards he struck an amazing first time shot which caught Valdes by surprise and flew in off a post. Ibrahimovic's equaliser was a perfect illustration of the striker's sublime talent. He controlled a wonderful Xavi cross on his chest before lashing a half volley in off a post. The Russian champions countered after Messi cheaply gave away the ball and Karadeniz hammered Dominguez's perfectly weighted through ball past Valdez. The woodwork came to Rubin Kazan's rescue twice in the remaining minutes as the Russian's just about held on to complete a famous victory.

Mikhalik punished awful defending from a free kick to give the Ukrainian's the lead. Bogush rushed miles off his line to cut out a Lucio through pass and Stankovic tapped into an empty net. Within five minutes of setting up the equaliser Lucio headed Dynamo back in front from Magrao's corner. Samuel sparred Inter blushed by heading in a Sneijder corner.
Mourinho has extended his fantastic winless run in Europe to 8 games. Congratulations.

Lucio kicked Karedeniz before he could lay off a pass out of defence, as Karedeniz lay on the turf clutching his knee, Dominguez gathered the loose ball, ran wide of two Inter defenders and beat Julio Cesar with a thumping right footed drive. Stankovic was left unmarked at the back post to head in a Balotelli cross. Balotelli was sent off for stamping on Noboa. Bukharov missed an absolute sitter and Semak hammered a loose ball against the outside of a post.

The awful Shovkovskiy was beaten on his near post by Messi's speculative effort. Barca winger Pedro, who at 22 is a late developer by Spanish standards, showed tremendous skill as he turned onto a Ibrahimovic pass, switched the ball onto his left foot and curled a shot inside the left post.

The Russian champions took a shock lead from a Dominguez free kick but eventually caved following sustained pressure from their more experienced neighbours. Yussuf headed in the equaliser from a free kick and 8 minutes later Magrao blasted in the second after Shevchenko miss-controlled in the box. Gusev finished off the Russians on the break.
