Tecos pressed forward from the start. Navia sent a early warning of what was
coming with a header hitting the post. He also win a penalty but his weak shot
was easily saved. A minute later Hernandez headed in the cross. 


AMERICA			1-0			CELAYA

Celaya was the better team in the field but their profligacy in front of the net
allowed America to stay alive in the game. Pardo cross was chested in by
Castillo between two defenders. 


CHIAPAS				2-0			PUEBLA

Chiapas took control of the game early Glaria point blank shot was save.
Glaria header was parried by Castro but Olmo headed in. Capetillo shot was
clear off the line. Chiapas when ahead by two after Glaria dribbled into the
box volleyed the ball over the the onrushing kepper. 


CRUZ AZUL			1-1			QUERETARO

Queretaro deserve all three ponts in the game they were the better team in
the field. They were the most aggressive team that aggressive pay of when
Gonzalez opened the scoring with a stunning shot just outside the box to the
upper left corner. Unfortunate luck was not with them because just four
minutes to the end Capria deflected the free kick  into the net. 


GUADALAJARA			2-1			VERACRUZ

Early in the game Veracruz took the lead Rodriguez surprise the defence with
brilliant passing moves that let to a shot past the keeper. Morales equalised
the game from the penalty spot after Ramirez was brough down. In the
second half Guadalajara look for the game winner and it came from a cross
that Bravo headed in. 


TOLUCA				2-2			TIGERS

This was going to be Ricardo Lavolpe last game coaching Toluca beacuse early
in the week he was name Mexico National Team coach. Vicente dribbled down
the right side cross the ballinto the net were Garcia volley shot beat the
keeper. Olalde tie the game with a header from the corner. Just before half
time Gaytan gave Tigers the lead with a right angle shot. Cardozo score his
twenty first goal of the season form the penalty spot. 


SANTOS				2-2			MORELIA

Just three minutes into the game Caniza put Santos ahead with a rightfooted
shot to the top corner from seven yards out. Johan stretch their lead from a
brillinat free kick.  Noriega dribbled into the box cross the ball were Alex tap
in to cut the lead in half.  Morelia stole a well deserve point when Rodriguez
headed in the cross. 


MONTERREY			3-1			PACHUCA

Pachuca when ahead with Arango first time shot past the keeper. They took
control of the game for 69 minutes and their poor finishing in front was the
they didn't lead by more or win the game. In the final twenty minutes of the
game was all Monterrey they scored three times Veiga tie the game from the
penalty spot, Franco gave then the lead from a spectatular shot from ten yards
out. Avila finish the great performance that Monterrey had in the final minutes
with a brilliant free kick. 


NECAXA				3-0			ATLANTE

Necaxa took control of the game from the beginning to the end. It was an
easly win for then beause Atlante didn't show anything or propose something.
Acosta put Necaxa ahead with a crossed shot o the left side. Zague took
of a defensive lapse dribbled into the box and volleyed tha ball over keeper.
Sosa finish a individual run from Aguinaga with a shot from seven yards out
into the lower right. 


SAN LUIS			6-3			PUMAS

San luis were awarded a penalty when Chavez was hauled down in the box,
Garcia hit the inside of the box to scored. Pintos pulled down Lopez cross
stepped outside and whacked the ball inot the net. Pumas when ahead after
a brilliant individual run by Lemos who finish with a powerful shot to the right.
The first ball the Barranga touch in the game he putted into the net with a
diving header. The most crucial five minutes of the game came in the middle
of the second half went Faria scored a hat trick the most amazing thing is that
all goals were scored on headers. Faria passed the ball to Milian in the egde
of the box and dribbled past one defender let a nice low shot past keeper.
