Neither team threatened much in regulation. Both teams belatedly offered a
flurry  of offense

In the 12th minute Alex tried a bicycle kick that bounced off Sanchez head. 
In the second half Mora took a pass from Ramirez at the penalty spot the
keeper divied to the left but couldn't get to the ball. 


CRUZ AZUL			1-1			TOLUCA
Abreu 34						Cardozo 81

Zepeda brought the ball downfield with Abreu on his left and only one
defender Garcia to beat. Zepeda crossed to Abreu who leftfooted a shot
behind the diving keeper and into the far side of the net. Cardozo the leading
goal scorer in the league gave Toluca the equaliser with a breakaway goal
over the outstretched legs of Perez. 


TIGERS				1-1			VERACRUZ

Ex Boca Junior player Gaytan put Tigers ahead with a deflected shot that
went off the crossbar into the net. Just minutes before half time Rodriguez
equalised the game with a diving header from the corner kick. 


CHIAPAS				0-2			ATLAS
							Morales 4, 42

Atlas overwhelmed beat a Chiapas thanks to Morales who scored twice in
the game. First with a stunning shot just outside the box into the lower
corner the second Morales pulled down the cross with the chest let the ball
bouneced and half volleyed over the keeper with the outside of the foot. 


SAN LIUS			2-2			ATLANTE

San Luis found some good fortune early in the game when Castro was called
from tripping forward Marquez in the box Wallace took the penalty and scored.
Banos headed in the cross to tie the game. Cartes put San Luis ahead one
more time with a brilliant shot from twenty yards out to the upper top corner.
Maturin got the equaliser five minues later went he dribbled around his defender
stepped inside a second defender  to wacked the ball into the net. 


AMERICA			3-1			QUERETARO

America wanted to stop their slump today and they did with a win. Minutes into
the game Patino tap in the rebound after the keeper dove to save Blanco shot
but failed to control the ball. Lipatin strecth America lead from the penalty spot
went Zamorano was brought down in the box. Later he scored his second of the
game with a brilliant header to the rightside of the keeper. The only bright spot
for Queretaro in the game was Almir goal from a twenty-five yard shot to the
top corner. 


PUEBLA				3-0			CELAYA

This was important game for both teams in a couple of significant ways the first
is that both are in the same group one and the other is that Puebla had a three
point lead coming into the game for the relegation battle. Aguilar opened the
scoring midway in the first half with a great past move around the keeper.
Capetillo blasted the ball into the net after his initial effort had been saved.
Coimbra scored the third goal of the game for Puebla on a point blank header.


PUMAS				3-0			PACHUCA

Agusto broke a scoreless game in minute twenty-six from the penalty spot
went Victorino was call for a deliberate handball. Pintos came in the second
half as a substitute this was his first appearance in the season for him. He
stole the ball just outside the box and chipped over Calero  to scored his first
goal of the season. Trujillo finish a brilliant play with a nice header. 


SANTOS				3-2			NECAXA
Reyes 14						Perez 51
Borgetti 69, 77						Zague 83

Necaxa failed to deal with a cross into the box and Reyes shot from close
range beat the keeper. Castro cross from the edge of the box was headed
in by Perez. Borgetti took control of the game for ten minutes were he scored
twice headed in Ruiz cross and chip the ball from close range past the keeper.
Later Zague cut inside Altamirano and squeezed a shot into the bottom corner.
