The only goal of the game came in the final minutes Leandro sent a past between
the defence to Marquez whos leftfooted shot beat the keeper.

Toluca wanted to open the season with a win and they did thanks to Cardozo
hat-trick. He opened the scoring with a rightfooted shot under the legs of the
onrushing keeper,  he headed in the cross and finally he sealed his hat-trick
from the penalty spot. 


CRUZ AZUL			1-2			TECOS

Santillana put Tecos ahead with a half volley shot after a terrible clearance by
the defence. Abreu gave Cruz Azul the equaliser from yes, you guessed it, a
brilliant header. Just before the end Azconzabal headed in the corner kick
that turn to be the winning goal. 


CHIAPAS				1-3			TIGERS

Just three minutes into the game Tigers took the lead from the peanlty
spot.The Soares cross  found Olalde in the box whos rightfooted shot from
yards out be the keeper to stretch their lead. Olalde brillinat shot was
more brilliant when the keeper made the save but didn't control the rebound
and Sanches wasted no chance to tap in the rebound.The only goal of
Chiapas was scored by Null whos shot to the left side beat the keeper


GUADALAJARA			1-1			PUEBLA

Soto anticipate the defender to headed in the cross from Capetillo. Bravo got
the equaliser for Guadalajara after he let the ball bounce once then headed
past the ball to himself and beat the keeper with a rightfooted shot to the
lower post.


VERACRUZ			3-4			MORELIA

Morelia scored three times in a 23-minute span they pressed forward from the
start. Just eight minutes into the game they opened the scoring Morales
brilliant free kick from 20 yards out beat the keeper. Franco header was to
the right lower corner no chance for the keeper to stop that. Bautista dribbled
past his defender and sent a cross that Alex put in the back of the net. Just
before half time Veracruz was awarded a penalty after Rodriguez was brought
down in the box Terrazas took the penalty and putted in back of the net. In
the second half Rodriguez cut the lead in half after his rightfooted shot to
the left side beat the keeper. Iniguez and Bautista did a one-two that he finish
by volleyed the ball over the keeper. In the final seconds Matute shot hit the
post and Casartelli tap the ball in before the keeper could react. 


ATLAS				1-2			SANTOS

Santos took the lead just two minutes into the game when Altamirano headed
in the cross. Borgetti who is the best header in the mexican league scored his
first goal of the season from you guessed it a brilliant header. In the second
half Morales scored the only goal for Atlas with another header. 


MONTERREY			2-0			ATLANTE

All of the scoring took place in the second half. Arrellano one the best players
in the league sent a cross to Erviti who let the ball bounce once and from
angle lashed the ball into the net. Abundis also came close to stretch
Monterrey lead but the post had another idea. Estay sent a cross to the box
and Franco anticipate the keeper to sent the ball into the net.


QUERETARO			1-1			SAN LUIS

The two promoted teams make their debut in the first division. Rojas gave
San Lius the lead after his shot to the left side beat the keeper. Queretaro
got the equaliser in injury time when  Gonzalez dribbled past the keeper and
scored. 


The game between America and Pachuca was cancelled because America
was going to be in the Final of the Copa America.
