FIFA Appoint Sebastian Coe Head of Ethics Committee

FIFA have appointed former two time Olympic Gold Medallist Sebastian Coe head of
their new ethics committee. FIFA President Sepp Bladder said :

"His personality and integrity, which is renowned the world over, will ensure that he is the best possible person for this role."

In light of these comments it's not known how much actual power Coe, who helped
London win the rights to host the 2012 Olympic Games and supports Chelsea, will
have or whether Sepp Bladder will be under investigation.

Germany Announce World Cup Profits

Theo Zwanziger, president of the DFB (German FA) has announced the World Cup
generated €56.60 million in profit (after tax). The money will be split between
the DFB and DFL (German football league). The World Cup generated a €40.80
million profit for FIFA.

UNICEF Appoint Zola Ambassador

UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) have appointed
former Chelsea and Italy forward Gianfranco Zola as an ambassador. Zola is
currently the assistant coach to Italy's U21 team.
