Augenthaler Sacked
Leverkusen have sacked Klaus Augenthaler following the clubs worst start to the
Bundesliga in 22 years. Former Leverkusen, Germany and Roma coach, Rui Voller,
will take over on a temporary basis.
Rovers Extend Friedel's Contract
Blackburn Rovers have extended the contract of American goalkeeper Brad Friedel
until 2008. Friedel's contract was due to expire at the end of the season.
Heinze Out For Season
Manchester United and Argentina have been dealt a huge blow with news that
defender Gabriel Heinze has been ruled out for most if not all the season after he
suffered a cruciate ligament knee injury against Villarreal in the club's Champions
League match on Wednesday.

Advocat Takes Charge of Korea
Former Dutch national team coach Dick Advocat has succeeded fellow Dutchman
Jo Bonfrere as coach of the South Korean national team. Despite guiding South Korea
to a place in next year's World Cup finals, Bonfrere resigned following criticism of
recent results.

Asamoah Out For Two Months
Schalke and Germany striker Gerald Asamoah has been ruled out for two months after
picking up a knee injury in Saturday's draw with Leverkusen.
