Keane Comments Pulled From MUTV

Comments made by Manchester United captain Roy Keane, following the clubs 4-1
loss at Middlesbrough, were pulled from the clubs satellite television channel.
Keane, who is currently sidelined with injury , said :

"There is talk about putting this right in January and bringing players in. We should
be doing the opposite, we should be getting rid of people in January."

On Rio Ferdinand :

"Just because you are paid £120,000 pounds a week and play well for 20 minutes
against Tottenham, you think you are a superstar. The younger players have been
let down by some of the more experienced ones, they are not leading. There is a
shortage of characters. It seems to be in this club that you have to play badly to be
rewarded. Maybe that is what I should do when I come back, play badly. I wasn't
surprised by the result. I had been expecting one like this. The players have been
asked questions and they are just not coming up with the answers. I am sick of
having to say it and they are sick of listening to me. They have let down the club,
the manager and the fans."

Bayern Set Sights on Podolski

Bayern Munich GM Uli Hoeness confirmed speculation linking the club with a move for
Germany striker Lukas Podolski :

"Now we have to consider what action to take during the winter break (following an
injury to Santa Cruz). We will sit down with Cologne management during that period.
Bayern will have five or six German internationals at the 2006 World Cup and one of
is now at Cologne."

Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge claims the striker has a €1 million buy out
clause.

Mourinho Accuses Wenger of Voyeurism

"I think he is one of these people who is a voyeur. He likes to watch other people.
There are some guys who, when they are at home, they have a big telescope to see
what happens in other families. He speaks and speaks and speaks about Chelsea.
It bothers me because the guy is speaking all the time. We never speak about them.
y
ou can do it when you are top and you have a big morale. When you are on game
number 11 and you still can't win away from home, and when you are without Thierry
Henry and he can't win a game, he should be worried about them. He's worried about
us, he's always talking about us. It's Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea. I might be
worried if my team made a defensive mistake. I shouldn't be worried about what
Arsenal did at Tottenham. They are always speaking about the other families. I don't
know if he wants my job, I don't know. He loves Chelsea." - Jose Mourinho

Maradona Heaps Praise on England

In an interview with the Sun newspaper the legendary Diego Maradona made the
following comments :

On Rooney and his temperament :

"His temperament is a positive, not a negative. It will make him fight on the field and
conquer adversity. You can't be a saint and still be successful in football. It's a tough,
physical game and nobody gives you anything for free."

On England :

"For me, they have the best chance of all the European teams at next summer's World
Cup finals in Germany."

On Gerrard & Lampard :

"I don't see having two very talented central midfielders as a problem for England.
Lampard and Gerrard are both exceptional, hard-working players who can take on
different roles asked of them. It's down to the manager to tell them what he wants
them to do. Good players can play anywhere."

I don't know how my name came into the betting."

"We will continue our protest against the high price of tickets and the 'Decret Pisanu'
by boycotting the match (away to Empoli). We will not be organizing away travel
