Arsenal Players Fined For Man United Fracas

Four Arsenal players have been fined and suspended following the ugly post match scenes
at the end of the team's 0-0 draw with Manchester United on the 21st of September.
The club have also been fined £175,000 for failing to control their players.

'Ralph' Lauren received a 4 game suspension and £40,000 fine for :

"Violent behaviour in forcibly pushing Van Nistelrooy in the back following the final whistle, and
for improper conduct in confronting van Nistelrooy after Patrick Vieira's sending-off and kicking
out at Quinton Fortune following the penalty award."

Martin Keown received a 3 game suspension and £20,000 fine for :

"Violent behaviour in his actions towards Ruud van Nistelrooy."

Patrick Vieira received a 1 game suspension and £10,000 fine for :

"Improper conduct in failing to leave the field of play following his sending-off"

Ray Parlour received a 1 game suspension and £10,000 fine for :

"Improper conduct in separate confrontations with Ruud van Nistelrooy and Gary Neville after the
final whistle". 

Arsenal's terrible left back Ashley Cole was handed a £10,000 fine and warned about his future
conduct. Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger, who continually excuses his players ill discipline, did not
received a fine or suspension. It has taken the FA over a month to reach these decisions and Arsenal,
conveniently, face the suspensions during a very easy set of upcoming fixtures.

Tomasson Determined To Stay At Milan

Kaiserslautern Want €5 Million For Klose

Kallon Tests Positive For Nandrolone

Inter striker Mohammed Kallon has been suspended after traces of the banned anabolic steroid
nandrolone were found in urine sample given by the player after the teams 0-0 draw with Udinese.
Earlier in the month Parma midfielder Manuele Blasi also testing positive for a banned anabolic steroid
(norandrosterone). Both players are likely to face 8-12 month suspensions if found guilty.

More Injury Misery For Metzelder

Dortmund defender Christoph Metzelder will be out of action until 2004 after tests revealed he had a
partially ruptured tendon on an achilles injury that has sidelined him since March.

Taggart Fined And Banned

Man United coach Alex 'Taggart' Ferguson has been given a two-match touchline ban and been fined
£10,000 for abusing the fourth official during the club's 1-2 victory away to Newcastle in August.

FIFA Approve Dual Nationality

A new ruling will allow players with dual nationality who have represented one country to play for their
second country as long as they not appeared in a full senior international.

Pirlo Extends Milan Contract

24 year old Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has extended his contract with the European Champions
until 2008.
