Kahn Fined For Dancing

Barmby Denies Allegations of Racism

categorically untrue and I feel devastated by it. My reputation has been
seriously undermined by an opponent who appears desperate to justify his
own actions. Words were exchanged between George and me on the field.
I said absolutely nothing of a racist nature, did not butt him, or abuse his
family. I am absolutely devastated by what I've read in the papers today."

Boateng spat at Leeds defender Jonathan Woodgate, pushed an official and
Barmby claims scratched his face in the tunnel after the match. Barmby had

Shearer Breaks 300 Goal Barrier

Alan Shearer scored his 300 and 301st league goals against Blackburn Rovers
on Saturday. After the 5-2 defeat against his former club he said :

"I'd much prefer us to have won 1-0 and me not to score today. I am pleased

but I'd much prefer it to be in better circumstances obviously. I'll probably
look back in midweek and think how pleased I am but tonight I'm obviously
disappointed."

Blackburn Rovers coach Graham Souness congratulated the striker on a

remarkable achievement :

"I'd like to say how wonderful it is that Alan has scored his 300th goal and

where else but here? We should remember what he gave to this club. He's the
greatest English center-forward that I've ever seen. There is not a single
bigger reason than him for Blackburn winning the Premiership. I knew he
would score today, I thought we might have to score twice to win the game,
but maybe not three. Nobody should score 300 goals at this level, it's
ridiculous."

Seaman has not lost his place in the team. I have not that opinion today,
absolutely not. He made a very good save in the second half."

Eriksson suggested Seamen's future as England's #1 was at threat :

"I think David James especially and (Paul) Robinson are pressing, They're

doing very well with West Ham and Leeds. There's four months before the
next game with the national team, a friendly in February, so I have a lot of
time to go round to see players and goalkeepers of course. We'll see what
happens in those four months."

its interests abroad while Ajax's participation in the 2002-2003 Champions
League will bring in a lot of revenue."
