SHAKHTAR DONETSK 2 (Mkhitaryan 44, Mkhitaryan 76)
NORDSJAELLAD 0

Fernandinho hit a brilliant 60 yard slide rule pass to send Luiz Adriano down the left and Armenian midfielder Mkhitaryan shot first time past Hansen. Shakhtar missed a truckload of chances before Mkhitaryan finally added a second on a rebound.

CHELSEA 2 (Oscar 31, Oscar 33)
JUVENTUS 2 (Vidal 38, Quagliarella 80)

Oscar hit two goals in two minutes. The first via a massive deflection off Bonucci. Bonucci was also partly at fault for his second, he intercepted a pass but didn't get enough on his clearance and Oscar ran around Pirlo before whipping a shot inside the right post, brilliant goal. Standing on the edge of the D, Vidal, the best DM in the World, took Marchisio's pass away from Hazard onto his left foot and before Terry and Luiz could react fired a quick shot into the bottom right corner. Terry got burned when pushing up and trying to play offside leaving Quagliarella to run in from the left and nutmeg Cech for the equaliser.

BARCELONA 3 (Tello 14, Messi 72, Messi 80)
SPARTAK MOSCOW 2 (Alves 29 og, Romulo 59)

Tello began what was expected to be a comfortable victory with a fine strike from the edge of the box. Emenike beat Barca's offside trap and fired in a cross which Dani Alves hilariously shot into his own net. Dikan made a brilliant reaction save to deny Messi and Spartak launched a counter attack from his clearance, McGeady played in Romulo on the overlap and the Brazilian embarrassed Adriano by stepping away from a feeble attempt at a tackle and swept the ball into the bottom left corner - on his 22nd birthday. Tello made the equaliser by beating two men as he cut in from the left touchline and international fraud Messi snatched all three points by heading in a cross. His marker Rafael should be ashamed.

BRAGA 0
CLUJ 2 (Bastos 19, Bastos 34)

Bastos beat Braga's offside trap onto Sougou's pass and raced into the box before slamming a shot past Beto. The Brazilian's second was a lesson in persistence, he mugged a defender on the half way line, ran into heavy traffic and got the break of the ball off a defender before blasting a shot inside the right post.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Sougou, n/a

LILLE 1 (Chedjou 60)
BATE BORISOV 3 (Volodko 6, Rodionov 20, Olekhnovich 43)

Volodko beat Landreau (remember him?) from 20 yards. Hleb(!) made a storming run deep from his own half, sold Chedjou a dummy then slipped in the overlapping Pavlov with a perfectly weighted pass and Rodionov slid in his centre amid appeals for offside. The Lille defence buggered up their offside trap again but Landreau dived at Olekhnovich to block his shot, the ball rebounded to Volodko, he played a disguised pass to Olekhnovich and this time Landreau was beaten. Farcical defending. Chedjou headed in a corner. French teams still suck.

Attendance : 38,122
Assists : Bordachev, Pavlov, Volodko, Payet

BAYERN MUNICH 2 (Schweinsteiger 38, Kroos 76)
VALENCIA 1 (Valdez 90)

Ribery and Robben worked the ball from the left flank to the right and Schweinsteiger broke into the box before blasting past Alves. Kroos added a long overdue second from the edge of the box. Valdez headed in a last minute consolation goal from an outstanding cross. Robben dived to win a penalty and get Rami canned but Mandzukic's shot was saved.

Bayern have strengthened in most of their key areas - apart from where it matters most - Heynckes is garbage.

Attendance : 68,000
Red Card : Rami 92 (Valencia)
Assists : Robben, Badstuber, Viera
