league places, Fiorentina and Parma crash to away defeats to Juventus and
Roma. Empoli are relegated following their 17th loss of the season. Even
Ronaldo, Baggio and Zamorano can't save Inter from more misery as Udinese
triumph at the San Siro.

Petrachi headed on Rapajic's free kick, Franzone missed the ball and Tedesco
headed into an empty net. Muzzi won a penalty and blasted the spot kick over
the bar. Mboma curled in a free kick. Olive was sent off following a clash
with Vasari. Petrachi volleyed Perugia back in the lead from Rapajic's cross
only for O'Neil to equalise from a free kick.

Can Inter suck enough? Sosa was carried off after 10 minutes, replaced by
Poggi and they still lost! West should have been sent off for an idiotic
handball in the box. Amoroso scored from the spot. Colonnese grew a
'horn' on his head following a clash of heads with Amoroso. Galante came on
in his place. A superb passing move between Baggio and Cauet ended with
Zamorano blasting a shot past Turci from close range. The returning Simeone
was carried off with cramp. Two volleys finished off Inter, Amoroso from
Locatelli's hopeful pass and Poggi from a deft touch by Amoroso.

Inzaghi headed in Deschamps cross, incredibly Deschamps is now Juve's assist
leader. Oliveira equalised, scrambling in from Rui Costa's free kick but
Conte won the match a minute later punishing some slack defending after
Inzaghi caused havoc in the box.

Giampaolo dived, Di Vaio hammered in the penalty, scored his second when
running onto a hospital pass and beating 3 defenders before screwing his
shot past Antonioli and completed his hat-trick with a fantastic half volley
from 30yds. Di Vaio then headed the ball across the face of goal and Kristic
nodded in at the far post. Di Vaio was MIA for Salernitana for the first
half of the season but his goals may just keep Salernitana in Serie A.

Vieri headed in Conceicao's cross. The only highlight in an otherwise poor
match. Almeyda was harshly sent off for handball in midfield while Couto
escaped when blatantly handling in his own penalty area. Ortega picked up
his second yellow card for diving but Palmieri got nothing for an equally
blatant dive in the box. Despite some schizophrenic refereeing Lazio
deserved their victory, mainly because the Samp players resorted to constant
diving.

Bierhoff scored Milan's first with a header from Guly's fabulous cross
Milan were fortunate not to concede a penalty when Schenardi threw himself
over Sala's outstretched legs in the box. Abbiati spilled Dabo's drive and
made a superb recovery to deny Otero what looked a certain equaliser. Helveg
and Weah combined superbly for Leonardo's goal. Costacurta lost his shorts
at the end of the match.
