New coach and new formation for Roma but same old problems. The defence is shit and it's Roma's management, not the coaches, who are to blame for signing such second rate players. Costa left Estigarribia in acres of space on the left and he pulled down a cross before sweeping a shot into the right corner. Roma should have levelled from the penalty spot but Osvaldo's awful penalty was easily saved. Sansone double Sampdoria's lead with a stunning free kick. Lamela briefly threatened a comeback when he fired in a loose ball but two minutes later Icardi took advantage of shocking marking by De Rossi to head in Sampdoria's third.
Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella was at the game to watch Icardi. So far the youngster has delayed choosing which national team he will play for. Argentina are certainly more in need for a centre forward than Italy. Icardi may feel with Balotelli and El Shaarawy now more or less the established front two and Osvaldo coming into his prime at 27 and the likes of Gabbiadini (21) coming through he's got a better shot of playing for Argentina where Messi aside his main competition is flat track bully Benzema.

Chievo failed to clear their lines from a corner. Cassano whacked a shot goalwards, Puggioni dived to save but managed to spill the ball into his own net. Rigoni took advantage of some horrendous non marking to head in the equaliser from a deflected cross. Ranocchia restored Inter's lead with a terrific header from a Cassano corner. Gargano went close twice in quick succession before the returning Milito wrapped up victory from a Cambiasso centre.

Roncaglia didn't get enough distance on a defensive header, Vucinic took one touch to control the ball then blasted a dipping half volley past Viviano. Super finish. Vidal outmuscled Pasqual and wrong footed both Savic and Rodriguez with a sharp turn before feeding Matri who fired in the second with his right foot - despite having lost his boot!

Floccari bounced Konko's cross off his chest before rifling the ball into the bottom right corner. Floccari rattled the right post with a tremendous shot from distance and Cavani appeared to head a shot against the underside of the crossbar and over the line. Lulic tackled Cannavaro as he tried to dribble the ball out of defence but as he ran in on goal he froze and ended up passing to De Sanctis with a lame shot. Minutes later Napoli equalised. Marchetti tipped an Inler shot against the crossbar and from the resulting corner Campagnaro jumped in the air and crashed a right foot volley past Marchetti. Fabulous goal. Floccari almost won the game at the death but his header crashed off the crossbar. Fantastic game.
