CAGLIARI 4 (Nene 6, Nene 26 fk, Sau 28, Ribeiro 89)
SIENA 2 (Bogdani 42, Calaio 93)

Nene headed in a sixth minute corner before adding a second with a glorious free kick. As Siena pushed to get back into the game Nene's fantastic through pass sent Sau clear for the third. Calaio then missed a penalty before Bogdani scored late in the half after the home side understandably switched off. Ribeiro finished off Siena on the counter attack. Pinilla became the second player to miss a penalty and there was still time for Calaio to head in a late consolation goal.

INTER 3 (Milito 52 Pen, Palacio 68, Guarin 81)
SAMPDORIA 2 (Munari 20, Eder 94)

Ranocchia headed a free kick against Samuel and Munari tapped in the rebound. The ref bailed out Inter with a bullshit red card. Milito dived under minimal contact and picked himself up to score the penalty. Inter sprang a counter attack and Cassano centred for Palacio, 2-1. Cassano laid on the third for Guarin. Eder's late goal was scant consolation for a Sampdoria side jobbed by the referee.

Attendance : 41,438
Red Card : Costa 51 (Sampdoria), Ferarra 83 (Sampdoria C), Berni 83 (Sampdoria C)
Assists : n/a, Milito (won pen), Cassano, Cassano, Maxi Lopez

JUVENTUS 2 (Quagliarella 54, Pogba 92)
BOLOGNA 1 (Taider 71)

Giaccherini headed down a Pogba cross and Quagliarella volleyed past Agliardi. Taider intercepted a dreadful pass out of defence by De Ceglie and from the edge of the box curled a shot wide of Buffon. Bologna were looking good for a point until Agliardi flapped at a cross and Pogba scored another late winner.

Attendance : 38,895
Assists : Giaccherini, n/a, Giovinco

LAZIO 1 (Mauri 57)
TORINO 1 (Glik 10)

Polish defender Glik headed in a free kick. Lazio were lucky not to concede a penalty on the same play when dirty Dias was upto his old tricks. Cerci should have finished off Lazio on the counter attack but blew a one v one against Bizzarri. Mauri scored the inevitable equaliser with a crisp low drive in off the right post.

Attendance : 16,000
Assists : Sgrigna, Candreva

PARMA 3 (Belfodil 34, Parolo 37, Zaccardo 65)
ROMA 2 (Lamela 8, Totti 71)

Lamela intercepted an awful pass and whipped a superb left foot shot into the bottom left corner. Fabulous goal. Dodo sliced a clearance and Belfodil held off Castan to equalise. Belfodil found Parolo at the back post with an excellent cross and he scored at the second attempt after his initial effort got stuck in the rain soaked turf. Biabiany made the third with a strong run into the Roma penalty box, Stekelenburg saved from Belfodil and Zaccardo's follow-up effort went through the legs of a defender. Acquah scythed down Castan to concede a penalty which Totti scored on the rebound. Belfodil was sent off for raising his studs when challenging Marquinho for a 50-50 ball.

Attendance : 12,077
Red Card : Belfodil 85 (Parma)

UDINESE 2 (Di Natale 29 Pen, Di Natale 92)
CATANIA 2 (Castro 62, Lodi 85 fk)

A massive, massive dive by Badu won Di Natale the penalty. Pereyra sliced a clearance straight up into the air and Castro volleyed home an equaliser - it had been coming. Lodi looked to have given Catania the three points with a trademark free kick but shocking defending left Di Natale free at the back post and he killed a cross stone dead before lashing past Andujar.

Attendance : 10,000
Assists : Badu (won pen), n/a, Gomez (won fk), Allan

PALERMO 2 (Miccoli 45 Pen, Brienza 47)
MILAN 2 (Montolivo 69, El Shaarawy 79)

Miccoli kicked the ball against Abate's hand to win a cheap penalty. Minutes into the restart Brienza beat Amelia with a crazy shot that dipped and swerved violently. Bojan came off the bench and for once had an impact. His centre found an unmarked Montolivo and he scored via a deflection. Ujkani flapped at a cross and Milan's saviour fired in the loose ball to go top of the Serie A goalscoring charts on his 20th birthday.
