NOVARA 3 (Rigoni 49 Pen, Morimoto 65, Jeda 85)
CATANIA 3 (Legrottaglie 14, Lodi 56 fk, Gomez 91)

Capuano connected with a Lodi corner and the ball clipped Legrottaglie en route to goal. Rigoni levelled from the penalty spot after Meggiorini handled in the box. Dead ball specialist put Catania in front with another of his super left footed free kicks. Former Catania player Morimoto, who has struggled to fulfil the promise he showed in his late teens/early 20s, headed in at the back post. Jeda caught a longball on the drop with a powerful volley, Andujar parried but Jeda headed in the rebound. Catania equalised for a second time right at the death. Ledesma headed down a cross and Gomez poked the ball past Ujkani.

FIORENTINA 1 (Cerci 8)
LAZIO 2 (Hernanes 28, Klose 83)

Cerci kept up his remarkable scoring run with his 8th goal in 9 games (including last season). The Lazio defence failed to clear their lines from a corner, the ball eventually broke to Cerci who used his hand to control before steering a shot past Marchetti. Hernanes received a ball left of centre in the penalty area and fired a shot through De Silvestre's legs and into the bottom right corner. Excellent finish. Marchetti made fantastic point blank saves from Jovetic and Dias in the first half and also denied Oliveira and Cerci in the second. Sculli got above his marker to head down a cross and Klose jumped to head past Boruc and steal a victory. Daylight robbery.

Attendance : 22,773
Assists : Jovetic, Klose, Sculli

LECCE 0
CAGLIARI 2 (Ribeiro 10, Biondini 40)

Agostini released Cossu with a great pass over the top, Cossu brought the ball down, curled in a low inswinging cross and Ribeiro got in front of his marker to score his second Serie A goal. Biondini's goal was almost a carbon copy. Ribeiro touched on another cross from the right and Biondini flicked the ball over Julio Sergio.

Attendance : 6,800
Assists : Cossu, Ribeiro

PALERMO 2 (Migliaccio 19, Hernandez 94 Pen)
SIENA 0

Two goals in an otherwise uneventful match. Migliaccio headed in a Miccoli free kick and Zahavi went down in the box under a non challenge to win a late penalty.

Attendance : 20,461
Assists : Miccoli (fk), Zahavi (won pen)

PARMA 3 (Giovinco 29, Giovinco 42 Pen, Morrone 50)
GENOA 1 (Palacio 93 Pen)

With his back to goal Floccari jumped in the air and volleyed a cross towards Giovinco, a great first touch took him away from a defender and he lobbed over Frey as he raced off his line. Giovinco caught Veloso napping on the edge of his box and he ran inside Kucka stuck out a foot and the tiny playmaker didn't need an invitation to go down. After he converted the penalty he initiated the attack that lead to the 3rd goal with a glorious pass to Biabiany at the back post, he headed down to Morrone who scored at the second attempt after his initial effort came back off the crossbar. Paletta pulled down Palacio to concede the penalty.

Another wondrous display by Giovinco. Forget about Montolivo or Pirlo, Prandelli needs to build the national team around the Atomic Ant, who bears a striking resemblance to Joe Cole only being Italian he's obviously a much better player.

Attendance : 12,747
Assists : Floccari, Giovinco (won pen), n/a, Palacio

UDINESE 2 (Benatia 29, Di Natale 72 Pen)
BOLOGNA 0

Ferronetti headed a corner against team-mate Benatia, he reacted quickly to spin onto the ball and shoot past Agliardi. Perez went in with a dangerous two footed on Armero to concede the penalty. He should have been sent off.

Attendance : 13,000
Assists : Ferronetti, Armero (won pen)

JUVENTUS 2 (Marchisio 87, Marchisio 93)
MILAN 0

Vucinic curled a shot against the crossbar and Abbiati made a great one handed save from a deflected Bonucci shot. Boateng had Milan's only effort, a low volley which Buffon tipped out for a corner. Milan were comfortable until Nesta went off with an injury on 71 minutes then the defence fell apart as that FUCKING CLOWN Bonera, who was playing at right back, was moved to the centre. Vidal flashed a shot wide of the right post. Marchisio broke from midfield, swapped passes with Vidal then Vucinic and as he ran into the box Bonera dived in to make a challenge and kicked the ball against him and past Abbiati. Boateng was shown a second yellow for a blatant handball. Giaccherini overcooked a cross and Thiago Silva slipped when attempting to clear, Marchisio caught the ball on the drop with a low shot which slipped straight thought Abbiati's fingers. A terrible mistake by the Milan goalkeeper and the second costly one of the season following his howler against Udinese.

Too many injuries and tough fixtures for Milan. Players have been rushed back before they're ready e.g. Boateng and Ibrahimovic who looked well off the pace. Seedorf doesn't have the legs to perform week in week out. Milan's next big game is against Roma at the end of the month and that's all the major teams out of the way, aside from Inter. Milan must get Robinho and Mexes fit. The longer they're out of action, the harder it will become for Milan to make up lost ground. Expect more reinforcements in January. Cover for Ibrahimovic and Abate is a priority.

ROMA 3 (Bojan 20, Osvaldo 31, Simplicio 81)
ATALANTA 1 (Denis 48)

Roma's mediocre forwards grabbed the first two goals. De Rossi picked out Bojan with a superb lofted pass, Bojan stumbled as he controlled the ball but kept his feet and shot wide of Consigli. Consigli came off his line to punch clear a corner, Rosi sent the ball back into the box, Consigli dived at Osvaldo but missed the ball leaving the striker with an empty net. A Totti corner and Osvaldo header bounced across the face of the Atalanta goal. Denis headed Atalanta back into the game, completely against the run of play but another Consigli blunder made the points safe. Simplicio played a one-two with Pjanic, Consigli repeated his trick from earlier i.e. and ran out of the six yard box, dived at the ball and missed, 3-1.

Consigli is going to get mauled by the press but this was by some distance Roma's most impressive performance under Luis Enrique. The Rome derby, in a fortnight, should be something else. Luis Enrique gave his post match interview in Italian. Well done Sir.

Attendance : 36,200
Assists : De Rossi, Rosi, Cigarini (fk), Pjanic

INTER 0
NAPOLI 3 (Campagnaro 43, Maggio 56, Hamsik 75)

The only thing missing in an entertaining first half was a goal and that duly arrived when Obi gave away a penalty. Maggio was making one of his trademark runs down the right flank, Obi, who had already been booked, gave him a shove outside the box, Maggio stumbled and fell in it. Red card, penalty. Hamsik's spot kick was saved but Campagnaro was first to the rebound. The Inter bench went absolutely batshit crazy. Ranieri was shown a red and at half time Julio Cesar, who had to be restrained, was shown a yellow.

Mascara sent a through ball to Maggio, in trying to shield the ball Nagatomo forced Julio Cesar off his line and Maggio lobbed over him and into an empty net. Napoli's third goal was a lesson in possession. Napoli won the ball, lost it after a dozen or so passes, won it back again deep in their own half and 15 passes later Lavezzi split the defence and Maggio shot past Julio Cesar with Maicon appealing in vain for offside.

This was a wake-up for those who thought Inter's problems were over with a change in coach. This is a poorly constructed Inter squad with veterans and youngsters with little experience. That is not the right mix.

Attendance : 64,824
Red Card : Obi 41 (Inter)
Assists : n/a, Mascara, Lavezzi
