CHIEVO 2 (Pellissier 74, Moscardelli 93)
GENOA 1 (Palacio 48)

As Palacio wrestled with two defences Sorrentino came off his line to close him down and was beaten by a low shot into the corner, terrible positioning. Despite missing a penalty which never should have been given Chievo fought back to claim a shock victory. Pellissier leapt like a proverbial Salmon to head in Bradley corner and deep into injury time Davide 'The Undertaker' Moscardelli got down low to head in another right flank cross past a furious Frey.

Attendance : 7,000
Red Card : Dainelli 59 (Genoa)
Assists : Jorquera, Bradley (ck), Sardo

ATALANTA 2 (Schelotto 34, Cigarini 59)
NOVARA 1 (Porcari 89)

Three former Italy youth internationals got on the scoresheet in this match. Atalanta's Argentinean born Italy U21 international winger headed in a looping cross at the back post. Cigarini doubled Atalanta's lead with a great shot from the edge of the box but possibly via a deflection and Consigli continued a bad weekend for goalkeepers when he fumbled from Porcari.

Atalanta would be top of the league but for their six point penalty.

SIENA 3 (Destro 6, Calaio 53, Calaio 70)
LECCE 0

Sometime Italy youth striker Destro headed in his 3rd Serie A goal from a D'Agostino free kick. Destro played a lovely pass inside two defenders and Calaio swept a first time shot into the bottom corner. Lecce's notoriously poor (at least it should be) offside trap was ripped open by Gustavo, Julio Sergio dived to block from Destro and Calaio sent back the rebound with a glorious left footed lob which dropped just under the bar.

Red Card : Esposito 62 (Lecce)

BOLOGNA 1 (Diamanti 66 Pen)
INTER 3 (Pazzini 39, Milito 81 Pen, Lucio 87)

Cambiasso laid off a Forlan through ball to Pazzini and although Gillet got down to parry he couldn't push the ball out for a corner. Samuel fouled Portanova to concede the penalty. Morleo was sent off for a stupid last man foul on Milito in the box. He stepped up to score and Lucio rubber stamped Ranieri's first win as Inter coach when he headed in a Muntari free kick.

Attendance : 22,467
Red Card : Morleo 80 (Bologna)
Assists : Cambiasso, Portanova (won pen), Milito (won pen), Muntari (fk)
