BOLOGNA 1 (Sorensen 50)
PALERMO 3 (Donati 68 fk, Hernandez 76, Morleo 86 og)

Palermo looked set for another away defeat when Juve's teenage defender ran in on goal and showed excellent composure to finish. Di Vaio should have made it 2-0 when Bologna ripped through Palermo on the counter attack. A Donati free kick bounced past Gillet as bodies fell in the box. Gillet was scrambling to his feet after saving from Budan and Donati centred to leave Hernandez with an easy finish. Mantovani was sent off for kicking Ramirez but the ten men increased their lead when Morleo, under pressure from Ilicic, turned a Hernandez centre into his own net. Palermo's first away win of the season.

Pellissier seized on a Natale hospital pass, rounded Boruc and tapped into an empty net. INTER 5 (Milito 13, Milito 27, Samuel 38, Zarate 74, Milito 85 Pen)
GENOA 4 (Moretti 47, Palacio 59 Pen, Gilardino 80 Pen, Gilardino 90 Pen)

The Stramaccioni era began with a game of pure insanity. Flop of the season Diego Forlorn crossed for Milito to head in his first goal. He bagged his second from a deflected cross and Inter looked home and hosed and Lucio crossed for Samuel to make it 3-0. Sculli's overhead kick went in off Moretti.

Palacio put away the first of FOUR penalties, this awarded for handball. Zarate rolled back the years to score the type of wonderful solo goal he used to for Lazio when he first arrived in Serie A. He cut in from the left, beat a player and whipped a shot inside the right post from the opposite edge of the box. Palacio did the hook and fall trick to get Julio Cesar a red card and Genoa another penalty. 4-3. Guarin, finally making his Inter debut after joining injured in January, was supposedly fouled by Belluschi allowing Milito to complete his hat-trick. Dirty Lucio hacked Inter reject Sculli to concede the fourth penalty. MADNESS.

JUVENTUS 3 (Bonucci 53, Vidal 75, Quagliarella 83)
NAPOLI 0

Juve were crushing Napoli on set plays and eventually broke through when Napoli couldn't clear a Pirlo free kick. Barzagli got hold of the ball and shot, it went in off Bonucci. Vidal scored a fantastic second. He gathered a pass from Marchisio and bamboozled Campagnaro with a series of stepovers and as Zuniga arrived in support he brought the ball onto his left before unleashing a rocket into the right corner. Quagliarella completed the rout by hammering a shot past De Sanctis at his near post.

Easily Juve's best performance of the season. Napoli were made to look ordinary.

Attendance : 45,666
Red Card : Zuniga 86 (Napoli)
Assists : Barzagli, Marchisio, Del Piero

31 March 2012

CATANIA 1 (Spolli 57)
MILAN 1 (Robinho 34)

Robinho finished off a lovely move involving Ambrosini and Ibrahimovic. Gomez hammered a shot against the crossbar and was also denied an equaliser by a linesman's flag. Spolli scrambled Catania level from a corner. Milan were the victims of another ball over the line job when Robinho's shot tricked over before a defender hacked it clear.

Terrific gave. Catania gave Milan fits. The official who ran the line on the left had one of the worst games I have ever seen by a linesman, he was terrible. Not only did he blow the Gomez goal on two occasions Milan were through only to be called back.

Attendance : 20,253
Assists : Ibrahimovic, Legrottaglie

PARMA 3 (Mariga 6, Floccari 12, Floccari 71)
LAZIO 1 (Scaloni 37)

Marchetti made a brilliant point blank save from Floccari but his defence failed to clear the rebound and Mariga fired Parma in front. Although blameless for the first, Marchetti was to blame for the second. He flapped at a corner, Paletta shanked his volley and big money Lazio flop Floccari, on loan to Parma, headed his new side two goals up. Scaloni gave Lazio hope via a massive deflection but Floccari smashed home a Giovinco free kick to seal a precious three points that should guarantee Parma safety for another season.
