Bologna had the better of the first half but couldn't find a way past Julio Sergio, who made an incredible point blank save at his near post to deny Pulzetti. Gillet parried from Di Michele as the Bologna defence appealed for offside and Giacomazzi tapped in the rebound. Grossmuller rifled in the second from the edge of the box.

Klose missed a sitter before combing with Cisse to lay on the opening goal for Sculli, who in keeping with tradition did not celebrate against one of his many former clubs. The misses came thick and fast, Constant, who should have given Genoa the lead, shot wide from close range and Cisse dragged a Klose pull-back wide of a post. Chilean midfielder CRISTOBAL (what a tremendous name) Jorquera turned onto a pass on the centre circle, touched the ball onto his right foot to evade a challenge, switched it back onto his left to get away from Brocchi then split the defence and sent Palacio away to equalise. As good an assist as you will see this season. Marchetti came off his line and dived at Kucka's feet, also taking Diakite with him, but the broad shouldered Slovakian international, who stands at 6ft 1in, ran through the challenge and tapped into an empty net.
It's early days for Jorquera but Spain are the only nation producing midfielders better than Chile's.

Pelle headed down a longball, Andreolli fell under pressure from Giovinco and he lobbed over Sorrentino. Chievo dominated the second half and Paloschi scored a deserved equaliser following a mix-up in the Parma defence. Parma snatched the points on a counter attack, Giovinco burst into the box to slid home a Biabiany cross. Deep into injury time he was harshly booked for some sort of foul. It was his second yellow and needless to say he will be a huge loss for Parma.

Seedorf sold a player a dummy in midfield then picked out Cassano with a glorious crossfield pass, Aquilani met his inswinging cross with a spectacular diving header. Napoli were level within two minutes. Maggio got above the hopeless Bonera, filling in at left back due to Zambrotta's injury, to head down a free kick and Cavani drove a volley between Abbiati's legs at the near post. As Pato stood waiting for a free kick on the edge of the Napoli box Gargano sprung a counter, he slipped a ball out wide left to Cavani and he blasted first time past Abbiati.
Milan blew two chances to clear another attack down their left side and Nesta's awful clearance fell straight to Cavani who volleyed first time past Abbiati. Super finish. Milan should have been awarded a penalty for handball. Pato, who had a dreadful game, was booked for simulation and missed a header at the back post. The goal against Barcelona went to his head. Still not a team player.

Nene flicked on a free kick and Thiago Ribeiro headed in his first goal of the season. Larrivey appeared to put the result beyond doubt when he got the slightest of touches to a Conti shot. Morimoto turned onto a pass and his shot looped up into the top left corner, almost certainly via a deflection.
