Curci made excellent saves from Lavezzi and Dossena late in the first half. Both teams hit the woodwork. Guberti cut in from the left flank and dribbled past three players before curling a shot against the crossbar. Gargano rattled the crossbar with a free kick. Cannavaro bumped over Pozzi to concede the penalty. Gargano played a free kick into a gaping hole in the Sampdoria defence, Hamsik broke from the wall and fired past Curci. Three minutes later Cavani completed a stunning comeback when he got between two defenders and volleyed Lavezzi's cross past Curci.

Stankovic ran at the Palermo defence and back-heeled a pass into Maicon, Maicon gave him a first time return pass, Stankovic centred and Eto'o beat Sirigu at his near post. Palermo had a good shout for a penalty turned down and the luckless Pastore hammered a shot against the outside of a post.

Delio Rossi is one more poor result away from the sack.

Borriello pulled down a long ball before side footing past Sirigu. Totti clipped the top of the crossbar with a blistering shot from distance. Paponi blasted a rebound at Julio Cesar then from six yards up hammered the second rebound against a post. Rubin turned a Totti free kick past his own goalkeeper. Di Vaio chased down a longball which should have been cleared by Rosi but for some reason he ball watched and the striker hooked a shot over Julio Sergio from an acute angle. Two Lazio rejects were involved in the equaliser. Mudingayi released Meggiorini down the left and Di Vaio stole a yard on Rosi to tap-in his second goal and leave Roma in the bottom three.

Marchisio made it 3-0 with a stunning left foot volley. FANTASTIC player who should/would have lit up the World Cup had Italy not been coached by that crook Lippi. Iaquinta became the second Udinese player to score against his former club with a shot from the edge of the box.

Cerci dispossessed Ledesma in the Lazio penalty area, turned away to shoot, Ledesma grabbed his shirt as he turned, he fell and the ref pointed to the spot. 18 year old Man United reject Adem Ljajic converted to score his first Serie A goal. Ledesma levelled with the help of a significant deflection off Pasqual. Mauri, who had another excellent game, pulled down a longball and passes inside to Hernanes, he controlled the ball on his right foot, switched to his left and fired a shot across goal, Frey parried and Lazio's giant 21 year old Czech striker tapped in his first ever Serie A goal.
