LECCE 2 (Mesbah 32, Bertolacci 48)
JUVENTUS 0

Juve were always facing an uphill task after a bonehead move by Buffon on 12 minutes saw them reduced to 10 men. He made an excellent save from Di Michele as the striker ran through on goal (the second decent chance Lecce had created) unfortunately it was outside of the box and, unlike in Spain, when a top team gets a 'keeper sent off early, they lose. Krasic made way for Storari, while Toni stayed on. Ok. Explain that one to me? Sorensen botched an onside trap and ran with Mesbah as his team-mates stood in a line, he took the ball on his chest before nutmegging Storari in goal. Di Michele got above Barzagli to head down a cross and 20 year old midfielder Bertolacci smashed the ball in at the back post to score his first ever Serie A goal. He's on loan from Roma. Vives tripped Chiellini to earn a second yellow.

CHIEVO 1 (Fernandes 61)
MILAN 2 (Robinho 25, Pato 82)

Robinho intercepted a poor defensive header and passed the ball to Cassano, he overhit a first time cross, Ibrahimovic headed down, Robinho controlled the ball with his left arm before tapping into the bottom corner amid furious protests by the Chievo players. Constant, linked with Milan and a dead ringer for Aaron Winter, supplied the cross for the equaliser. Pato came on for Cassano and scored the winner. He collected a Gattuso pass and drifted in from the left, dribbled past Morero and shot low in off a post. Cesar was sent off for handball and ironically it was Robinho who lead the protests for a card.

GENOA 4 (Palacio 52, Paloschi 68, Palacio 74, Paloschi 85)
ROMA 3 (Mexes 6, Burdisso 16, Totti 51)

Mexes headed in a glorious Totti free kick. His partner in crime Burdisso, and it's a crime he's a professional footballer, made it 0-2 with a carbon copy goal. It was a GORGEOUS cross. Totti lead a counter attack, passed out wide to Borriello who turned Dainelli before rolling a center to his captain, Totti took a touch and slammed the ball into the bottom right corner. 0-3. Mexes and Julio Cesar almost collided when tracking a longball, Floro Flores pulled down Mexes, Julio Cesar scrambled in vain as Palacio thumped the ball into an empty net. Roma quickly fell apart and repelled two chances before conceding a second goal. Paloschi, on as a 64th minute substitute for Rossi, trapped a Floro Flores cross on his chest and shot wide of Julio Sergio. Four minutes later came the substitution that ended Ranieri's reign as Roma coach. Loria replaced Borriello and failed to pick-up Palacio as he peeled away at the back post and sent a header looping over Julio Sergio, 3-3. Totti had a chance to make it 3-4 on the break but he shot at Criscito with Eduardo beaten. Palacio played a delayed one-two with Criscito, the full back returning his pass with a delightful lob between two players, Julio Sergio ran off his line to narrow the angle, Palacio calmly rolled the ball to the back post and Paloschi hooked a volley into the net.

Ranieri announced his resignation hours later, during the first half of Napoli - Catania. 36 year old U15 coach Montella is expected to replace him for the remainder of the season and Ancelotti at the end of it (unless Chelsea sack him).

PARMA 2 (Crespo 64 Pen, Palladino 89)
CESENA 2 (Rosina 31, Sammarco 78)

Rosina scored his first goal following two wasted years at Zenit from the edge of the box, thanks to poor handling by Mirante. Belo got behind Amauri and aggressively tackled him to the floor. Fortunately for the Italian-Brazilian the referee blew for a penalty before Belo could pull down his shorts. He must have mistaken him for pornstar Zenza Raggi. Morrone got the ball caught in his feet near the Parma penalty area, Ceccarelli picked his pocket, ran into the box onto Jimenez' reverse pass and Sammarco slammed his centre into the bottom corner. Lauro challenged Budan for a ball on the edge of the box, it popped up to the centre circle and Palladino volleyed in the equaliser.
