CAGLIARI 3 (Matri 23, Nocerino 47 og, Biondini 54)
PALERMO 1 (Pastore 50)

Matri put away a rebound after a Nene shot came back off the right post. Under pressure from Acquafresca, Nocerino turned the ball into his own net as Palermo made a mess of defending a corner. Pastore briefly got Palermo back in the match with a thumping drive but Biondini quickly killed off hopes of a comeback when he seized on a poor clearance and fired a loose ball inside the left post.

BRESCIA 2 (Bega 50, Diamanti 88)
PARMA 0

Paci chopped down Eder as he ran through on goal. Deserved red. Eder couldn't continue and had to be substituted. In the fifth minute of first half injury time 36 year old defender Bega ran from defence onto a Diamanti pass and with a subtle feign turned away from two Parma players before bringing the ball onto his left foot and sending a shot rocketing in off a post.

GENOA 2 (Milanetto 46, Destro 57)
UDINESE 4 (Armero 27, Di Natale 56, Sanchez 69, Denis 90)

Udinese's Colombian full-back jumped into the air to bring down a longball, ran clear of two defenders and lobbed over Eduardo. Sculli chased down Milanetto's overhit pass and lobbed it back into the box and the fat Milanetto caught it on the bounce with a brilliant half volley in off the right post. Another dreadful mistake by Eduardo, who has morphed into the laughably inept Ricardo, handed the lead back to Udinese. He ran out of the box to kick clear a longball but missed and Di Natale tapped into an empty net. Destro, which actually means right in Italian and leads to much confusion whenever he is playing, headed a Rafinha cross against a post then slammed in the rebound. Pinzi's long range passing in this match was off the charts, he played a pass down the right to Isla who immediately squared to Di Natale before making an overlapping run, Di Natale feigned to go left before giving the ball back to Isla and Sanchez tapped in his centre at the back post. Armero tackled Mesto then released Denis on the counter, Eduardo made another disastrous foray off his line and the Argentinean striker bent a right foot shoot around him and into an empty net, great finish, terrible goalkeeping. Abdi, a black Kosovan born Swiss international, should have made it five but hit the woodwork after Genoa were again carved open on the flanks.

Attendance : 21,000
Assists : Pinzi, Sculli, Pinzi, n/a, Isla, Asamoah

JUVENTUS 2 (Del Piero 43 fk, Aquilani 79)
BARI 1 (Rudolf 57)

Del Piero gave beleaguered Juve the lead with a magnificent free kick. Rudolf, a recent loan signing from Genoa, equalised after Alvarez did the hard work with a brilliant slalom run past Sorensen. Del Piero sent a free kick into the box, Donati headed it out and Aquilani caught the ball with a fantastic left foot volley.

Attendance : 18,882
Assists : Pepe (won fk), Alvarez, n/a

LECCE 1 (Olivera 82)
MILAN 1 (Ibrahimovic 49)

Ibrahimovic added another goal to his highlight reel. He headed clear a Lecce corner, Seedorf defended another attempted cross and Bonera punted the ball upfield, Ibrahimovic ran between two defenders and juggled the ball off his chest, turned then sent a left foot volley dipping over Rosati. Piatti's out-swinging corner was allowed to bounce in the box, Nesta failed to get tight on Olivera and he steered a first time shot into the bottom corner.

Attendance : 16,000
Assists : Bonera, Piatti (ck)

INTER 4 (Stankovic 20, Milito 30, Eto'o 63, Eto'o 72 fk)
BOLOGNA 1 (Gimenez 77)

Stankovic ran beyond the Bologna defence as they pushed up for offside, called for the ball and Eto'o threaded it between two defenders before he tapped first time past Viviano. The part owned Inter goalkeeper should have done better when Milito shot at him from a tight angle. Eto'o picked up the ball wide in midfield and tried to goad the Bologna defence into a mistake, after his dummies and stepovers failed he passed to Milito, the Argentinean took a touch before instantly playing a back heal and Eto'o drove a first time shot into the bottom right corner. Lovely goal. He scored a rare free kick to complete Inter's fourth successive win under Leonardo. Gimenez fired in a loose ball after Inter failed to clear a corner.

Don't be surprised to see Inter take advantage of their easy fixture list and leapfrog into second place by the end of the month. The team look liberated following the far bastard Benitez's dismissal and still have Sneijder to return.

Attendance : 60,000
Assists : Eto'o, Motta, Milito, Zanetti (won fk), n/a
