BARI 2 (Kutuzov 65, Barreto 90)
MILAN 3 (Ambrosini 4, Flamini 31, Pato 72)

Milan captain Ambrosini marked his first start since returning from injury with a trademark header from a Seedorf cross. Flamini, given a rare start due to Boateng's suspension, scored his first ever Milan goal after Ibrahimovic played him in on the overlap. Abbiati was very lucky to get away with a blatant body check on Baretto in the Milan penalty area. Barreto turned onto a longball and passed to Milan reject Kutuzov, he skipped over a Yepes tackle and shot past Abbiati before Nesta and Gattuso could intervene. Pato scored a brilliant third for Milan. He pulled down a Seedorf cross, ran in from the left flank, feigned to shoot, checked back outside a defender and squeezed a shot into the bottom left corner. Barreto volleyed a longball under a poorly positioned Abbiati but, unlike in midweek, Milan held on.

Nesta is several steps below last season's form. Milan need a crack centre back to play alongside Silva. Benfica's giant Brazilian David Luiz is rumoured to be a target.

Attendance : 36,000
Assists : Seedorf, Ibrahimovic, Barreto, Seedorf, Donati

JUVENTUS 3 (Del Piero 31 Pen, Quagliarella 43, Iaquinta 87)
CESENA 1 (Jimenez 11)

Schelotto flicked on a Giaccherini cross and Jimenez turned the ball in at the back post. Bonucci must have been watching videos of Inzaghi as he was furiously pulling away at the shirt of his marker Pellegrino from a corner and used the leverage to throw himself down and win a ludicrous penalty which that annoying little shit Del Piero converted. More Juve theatrics (from Pepe) saw the visitors reduced to ten men. Two minutes later Quagliarella headed Marchisio's cross under the bar. Iaquinta met a Salihamidzic centre with a superb volley though judging by the flight of the ball it's hard to believe he meant it.

Attendance : 20,534
Red Card : Pellegrino 41 (Cesena)
Assists : Schelotto, Bonucci (won pen), Marchisio, Salihamidzic

LAZIO 0
ROMA 2 (Borriello 52 Pen, Vucinic 87 Pen)

Lichtsteiner gave away the first penalty by punching away a Simplicio shot. Muslera, who is on ?200K a year, should have saved Borriello's spot kick but let the ball squirm away from under his legs. Dirty cheat Baptista was up to his old tricks and dived under minimal contact to win the second penalty.

As I and several people, including Rocchi had suggested, Roma played better without the handicap of the selfish, attention seeking ball hogger Totti.

Attendance : 50,000
Assists : n/a, Baptista (won pen)

NAPOLI 2 (Cavani 19, Cavani 85)
PARMA 0

Valiani Slipped when running onto a pass from a short corner, Cavani broke, played a ball to Zuniga on the half way line, I was sure he was going to screw up the return pass but he floated a cross over the heads of a Parma defence and Cavani scored as they appealed for offside. Cavani played a one-two with Lavezzi on the edge of the Parma penalty area, returning the ball with a PES style high one-two, the type that never work in the game, Cavani rolled Lucarelli and beat Mirante from a stupid angle with a stunning half volley which prompted the Italian commentator to scream "Mamma Mia" yes it's not a cliché, they do actually use that expression.

Attendance : 30,000
Assists : Zuniga, Lavezzi

SAMPDORIA 0
CATANIA 0

Attendance : 22,000

UDINESE 1 (Floro Flores 44)
CAGLIARI 1 (Conti 12)

Cossu worked a short corner with Nainggolan, spotted Conti in space on the edge of the box, swung over a high cross and Conti caught the ball on the drop with a magnificent right foot volley into the top corner. Fantastic goal. Inler flicked on a corner and Floro Flores threw himself at the ball to score a deserved equaliser.

Attendance : 13,000
Assists : Cossu, Inler

PALERMO 1 (Pinilla 42)
GENOA 0

Attendance : 24,368
Assist : Pastore

6 November 2010

BOLOGNA 2 (Di Vaio 84, Gimenez 85)
LECCE 0

This match was heading for a tedious 0-0 draw until Lecce's 'keeper dived to parry Britos' low centre but missed and Di Vaio pounced to score his 6th goal of the season. Rosati was also at fault for Bologna's second. Di Vaio headed on a cross, Gimenez headed the ball down, it struck Rosati, who should have stayed on his line, and bounced in off his shin.

Attendance : 13,954
Assists : Britos, Di Vaio

INTER 1 (Eto'o 73 Pen)
BRESCIA 1 (Caracciolo 14)

Caracciolo took down a longball, checked inside Samuel, who was pulling his shirt but let go, and shot past Castelazzi as Lucio was about to make a challenge. A gift of a penalty rescued a point on the back of another dreadful Inter performance. Eto'o lost his balance as he ran into the box. He decided to appeal for a penalty and referee Gava, who was well placed, pointed to the spot. A confidence shot Milito missed an absolute sitter late on.

Attendance : 58,585
Assists : Dallamano, Eto'o (won pen)
