PALERMO 2 (Cavani 37, Simplicio 42)
JUVENTUS 0

Melo lost a ball in midfield to Pastore, Melo made a last ditch attempt to bring him down but he recovered to keep his balance and passed to Cavani, he ran into the box and just as Chiellini was about to make a tackle he unleashed a left foot shot past Buffon who had strayed to the edge of the six yard box. Miccoli took a free kick miles from the Juve goal and Simplicio broke from the wall to divert the former Juve striker's shot past Buffon amid appeals for offside.

Palermo should have buried Juve under a sea of goals on the counter in the second half. Juve looked desperately lethargic, their mid-weeks exploits clearly taking their toil. This is where those steroids use to come in handy back in the Lippi days.

Attendance : 31,606
Assists : Pastore, Miccoli (fk)

ATALANTA 1 (Tiribocchi 21)
MILAN 1 (Ronaldinho 83)

Padoin crossed from the left, Doni got the ball caught in his feet, Tiribocchi took it off him and fired past Storari. Radovanovic's second yellow, for an apparent foul on Pato turned the game. Milan's numerical advantage began to tell in the second half. After Pato hit the woodwork and Seedorf went agonisingly close Ronaldinho controlled a Nesta pass on his chest before volleying over Consigli to earn Leonardo a stay of execution.

Attendance : 15,000
Red Card : Radovanovic 38 (Atalanta)
Assists : Doni, Nesta

BOLOGNA 1 (Di Vaio 85 Pen)
GENOA 3 (Kharja 11 Pen, Sculli 35, Zapater 90)

Genoa were given a soft penalty. Floccari and Portanova collided in the Bologna box, both fell over and the ref pointed to the spot. Kharja took an illegal spot kick, stuttering on run up but Gervasoni waved away Bologna protests. Sculli finished off an excellent counter attack to send Genoa two goals up at half time. Palladino injured himself as he back heeled a pass in midfield to Modesto, Floccari made a diagonal run between two defenders onto Modesto's pass before measuring a centre to the back post and Sculli tapped-in. Mesto was shown a ridiculous second yellow for handball. Genoa held out until Gervasoni, who had a terrible game gave another soft penalty. Di Vaio converted and was then fouled in the box when he attempted to attack a cross but this time the ref didn't whistle. Zapater finished off a counter attack to end a run of three games without a victory.

Attendance : 23,000
Red Card : Mesto 52 (Genoa)
Assists : Floccari (won pen), Floccari, Tedesco (won pen), Tomovic

CAGLIARI 1 (Matri 38)
CHIEVO 2 (Marcolini 41, Marcolini 71)

Matri gave Cagliari a deserved lead with a superb looping header. Three minutes later Chievo were level. Goalkeeper Sorrentino took a free kick 70 yards from goal and launched the ball into the Cagliari half, the ball appeared to be headed clear but Marcolini was lurking and strode forward before steadying himself and letting rip with a left foot half volley which flew past Marchetti. Cagliari showed a surprising lack of ideas in the second half. Marcolini broke through on the counter to score the winner. Marchetti made a point blank save to parry his initial, powerfully struck effort, full back Agostini should have cleared but just stood and watched as Marcolini ran forward to out away the rebound.

ROMA 2 (Totti 37, Totti 63)
NAPOLI 1 (Lavezzi 25)

Roma lost right back Motta and goalkeeper Julio Sergio to injury. Their replacements conspired to give Napoli the lead. Cassetti slipped as Datolo played a ball down the left to Hamsik and Lavezzi turned onto his centre and shot, Lobont should have put the ball out for a corner but let it slip through his fingers. Roma scored a lucky equaliser. Vucinic centred from the left, Perrotta slid to meet his pass, the ball bounced off Totti's thigh and over De Sanctis. Contini failed to get tight on Totti as he turned on a Cassetti pass, Contini's mistake buying Totti enough time to measure a shot into the bottom left corner but he injured himself in the process.

One former Milan player, Leonardo, saved his job this week but the writing is on the wall for Donadoni. It'll be a major surprise if they're both not out of a job by the end of the month.

Attendance : 25,000
Assists : Hamsik, Perrotta, Cassetti

SAMPDORIA 1 (Pazzini 23)
PARMA 1 (Galloppa 30)

Pazzini met Mannini's cross with a superb header, perfectly directed into the bottom right corner of Mirante's net. Galloppa won a ball off Pazzini deep in his own half with a strong tackle and sprayed the ball out wide to Castellini, Castellini swung a deep cross into the box, Biabiany headed it across goal and Amoruso touched it to the edge of the box just as Galloppa arrived to slam a first time shot past Castelazzi. Brilliant team goal. Samp had what looked to be a strong case for a penalty turned down and wasted several chances. Parma finished stronger and almost stole three points.

Poor result for Samp. These are the type of matches they have to win if there are to have any chance of winning the scudetto, which, unfortunately, they really don't.

Attendance : 25,000
Assists : Mannini, Amoruso

INTER 2 (Stankovic 22, Sneijder 92)
UDINESE 1 (Di Natale 27)

Stankovic made an overlapping run in support of Eto'o on the counter attack, Eto'o made sure his run wasn't in vain by passing the ball out wide and with everyone expecting a cross to Milito at the back post Stankovic hit an unreal shot from the far right of the penalty area up and over Handanovic into the top left corner. Inler shrugged off a typically feeble challenge from Cambiasso before splitting the Inter defence with a pass to Di Natale who was miles offside as he scored. He blew a chance to score a winner late on and Udinese paid the price when Sneijder chested down an overhit cross and from a wide angle passed the ball inside the left post.

Attendance : 50,000
Assists : Eto'o, Inler, Eto'o
