GENOA 2 (Mesto 31, Crespo 75)
JUVENTUS 2 (Iaquinta 6, Trezeguet 85)

Camoranesi dummied Marchisio's centre and Iaquinta's right foot shot crept inside Amelia's left post. Genoa equalised completely against the run of play. Sculli showed there was more to his game other than the ability to dive and win penalties by making the equaliser for Mesto with an outstanding cross. Either side of two disallowed Juve goals Crespo ran across Legrottaglie to powerfully head Mesto's cross past Buffon. Trezeguet rescued Juve with a late headed goal. On the balance of play a point was the very least they deserved.

Attendance : 31,882
Assists : Marchisio, Sculli, Mesto, Chiellini

BOLOGNA 2 (Portanova 36, Di Vaio 53)
LIVORNO 0

Portanova gave Bologna the lead with a spectacular diving header. Di Vaio used an arm to control a Zalayeta flick-on, taking the ball away from Livorno defender Miglionico before he could make a challenge, and struck a firm shot through De Lucia's legs.

Attendance : 16,000
Assists : Mingazzini, Zalayeta

FIORENTINA 2 (Jovetic 25, Gilardino 66)
SAMPDORIA 0

Marchionni kept alive Vargas' overhit cross and swung the ball to the back post and Jovetic ran unchallenged past two defenders to head the ball into the back of the net. Frey made fantastic saves from Mannini and Pazzini, Castelazzi's save from a perfectly struck Marchionni volley was even better. Jovetic almost scored with an outrageous mid-air, back heel volley. Zauri held off two defenders on the left flank before swinging a cross to the back post and Gilardino arrived from nowhere to double Fiorentina's lead.

Game of the season so far for the overall quality of the football. Jovetic was outstanding, even managing to upstage Cassano. It's taken him a season but it's easy to see why he was dubbed the new Savicevic and at just 19 this kid has limitless potential.

Attendance : 26,307
Assists : Marchionni, Zauri

INTER 3 (Eto'o 3, Milito 5, Lucio 32)
NAPOLI 1 (Lavezzi 38)

Beleaguered Napoli fell behind to the champions after just 3 minutes when Eto'o tapped in following a goalmouth scramble from a corner. Maicon powered through the Napoli defence before feeding Maicon who was clearly offside as he despatched the Brazilian's pass with a typically assured finish. Lucio headed in his first Inter goal from a Sneijder corner. Lavezzi also scored from a corner at the other end. Inter put on the handbrake in the second half.

Donadoni has until Sunday to turn things round. Mancini would appear to be the most obvious candidate to succeed him.

Attendance : 45,000
Assists : Cambiasso, Maicon, Sneijder (ck), Contini

LAZIO 1 (Zarate 42 Pen)
PARMA 2 (Bojinov 21, Amoruso 46 Pen)

Bojinov scored his first Serie A goal following two injury plagued years in the EPL to give Parma a deserved lead. He met Zenoni's deep cross with a stunning left foot volley and for a split second didn't even realise he had scored before, thinking he was offside, but the linesman's flag stayed down and the celebrations promptly followed. An absolutely scandalous dive by Cruz gave Zarate a penalty which he duly converted. Full marks though to the referee for consistency because four minutes later he pointed to the spot at the opposite end. Kolarov slapped Bojinov on his back then jumped in with an idiotic sliding tackle, flooring Bojinov and an inevitable second yellow followed. Nicola Amoruso, now at his 14th club, converted.

Attendance : 15,000
Red Card : Kolarov 45 (Lazio)
Assists : Zenoni, Cruz (won pen), Bojinov (won pen)

PALERMO 3 (Budan 40, Miccoli 47, Nocerino 56)
ROMA 3 (Brighi 20, Burdisso 46, Totti 88 Pen)

Bad weather seems to follow Palermo, this was their second consecutive home game played on a bog of a pitch. Brighi began the scoring after Totti played in with an exquisite back heel on the edge of the box. Burdisso should have cleared a Miccoli shot that was trickling towards the goal-line, as he put on the brakes, making sure he didn't slip, he kicked the ball against the inside of the post, it bounced out, hit Budan and bounced back in. Burdisso made up for his earlier error by heading in the equaliser from a corner right on half time.

Another mistake by Cassetti, who is showing his age, lead to the equaliser. He was inexplicably out jumped on a highball by Simplicio, who legit stands half a foot shorter than him, Budan headed the ball back into the box wide to Miccoli and as Julio Sergio came off his line he took a touch to trap the ball, bringing it onto his left foot and shot under the Brazilian's legs into the bottom left corner. Brilliant. Miccoli forced a save from Julio Sergio at his near post but Nocerino arrived late to burst a right foot volley into the back of the net. Rubinho's clumsy challenge on Okaka lead to the game tying penalty. Admittedly the giant teenage striker went down easily but in truth Roma's second half performance warranted a point.

Attendance : 25,000
