SAMPDORIA 2 (Pasquale 16 og, Pazzini 40)
FIORETINA 0

Struggling Fiorentina lost Gamberini and Santana to injury in the first 15 minutes. Pazzini headed a cross against the bar, Semioli headed the rebound against Pasquale and the ball looped over Frey. Pazzini, who has to be Italy's starting striker in South Africa, headed in a cross to give Samp a fourth consecutive victory and yes Cassano wasn't playing.

CAGLIARI 3 (Conti 13, Nene 30, Gazzi 53 og)
BARI 1 (Masiello 52)

Matri dribbled his way through three defenders in the Bari penalty area and with a sublime piece of skill dragged the ball back before lifting a delicate pass to the back post for Conti to head into the net. Nene made it 2-0 with a deflected free kick. Masiello pulled a goal back but Gazzi slammed the doors shut on any hopes of a comeback when he headed a cross into his own net. Allegretti crashed studs up into a ball boy who was sat near the advertising boards. I don't think the lad was hurt but he did receive treatment from the medical staff. I know it's a cliche but only in Serie A.

Matri is a powerful, gifted player and another former Milan youth team product. If next season he shows this season wasn't a fluke there's every chance he'll move onto bigger and better things.

JUVENTUS 3 (Amauri 42, Del Piero 61, Del Piero 78 Pen)
GENOA 2 (Rossi 16, Rossi 63)

Chiellini was caught out of position on the first goal, Acquafresca moved out wide onto Zapata's through pass and Rossi tapped in the striker's centre. Juve equalised following a quick throw-in, Caceres and Candreva combined down the left, Caceres crossed to the back post and Amauri got above three defenders to head in his cross.

Del Piero tackled back to win the ball in the Genoa half, played a one-two with Diego on the edge of the box, Diego returned with a back heal, burst into the box and toe poked past Amelia. That's exactly what Juve have been expecting from Diego. Buffon had a case of the Dida's when he fumbled a routine centre and Rossi snared his second. Del Piero tripped over his own feet to win Juve a second, consecutive scandalous penalty and got up to seal a first victory for Zaccheroni. I wonder if the refs will also bail them out next week at Bologna?

PARMA 0
LAZIO 2 (Stendardo 68, Zarate 88)

Lazio had a new coach on their bench, Edy Reja formerly or Napoli, and, more importantly, Ledesma back in the starting XI.

Stendardo headed in a corner from Lazio's excellent Serbian full-back Aleksander Kolarov. Jimenez appeared to be the first player to become a victim of Italian football's crackdown on bad language. Zarate, guilty of wasting a one vs one against Mirante, combined with another of Lazio's miss-firing forwards, Floccari, to beat Parma's 'keeper at his near post.

MILAN 3 (Huntelaar 7, Pato 39, Huntelaar 57)
UDINESE 2 (Floro Flores 46, Di Natale 86)

Huntelaar met Ronaldinho's cross with a towering near post header to give Milan the lead. The Brazilian also made the second, a phenomenal first time pass released Pato, just as he shot Pasquale made a brilliant last ditch tackle but Pato chased down and tapped into an empty net. On the stroke of half time a Dida blunder handed Udinese a lifeline, Floro Flores headed a cross straight at him and he parried the ball into his own net.

Huntelaar pounced on Ronaldinho's deflected free kick to restore Milan's two goal lead. Di Natale sprung a poorly played offside trap to score his 17th goal of the season.

Borriello - 16 games (14 starts), 7 goals
Huntelaar - 15 games (6 starts), 5 goals

ROMA 4 (Bovo 33 og, Baptista 54, Brighi 62, Riise 83)
PALERMO 1 (Miccoli 79 Pen)

Former Roma defender Cesare Bovo threw himself at a Brighi volley when defending a corner, and headed the ball into his former net. Totti kicked Bovo after the defender muscled him off the ball, he was only shown a yellow card. Bovo had a game to forget as he made a mess of what should have been a routine clearance and Brighi centred for Baptista, on for the injured Totti, to double the home side's lead. Brighi made it 3-0 with a precise shot from the edge of the box. Taddei and De Rossi sandwiched Pastore to concede a penalty. Riise arrived at the back post to smash home Pizzaro's centre.

Nine wins in a row for Roma and things will improve further when Totti returns. Ranieri is doing a fantastic job.

Attendance : 33,837
