BOLOGNA 2 (Di Vaio 15 Pen, Terzi 25)
GENOA 0

In trying to recover from a horrible first touch Bocchetti tripped Mingazzini and Di Vaio exacted punishment from the spot. Terzi met Adailton's deflected free kick with a weak left foot volley which Rubinho should have parried for a corner.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Mingazzini (won pen), n/a

LAZIO 0
ATALANTA 1 (Talamonti 24)

Attendance : 40,000
Assist : Cigarini

LECCE 2 (Munari 11, Tiribocchi 25)
CATANIA 1 (Martinez 47)

Polenghi overshot his delivery from a corner, Zanchetta bounced a volley into the ground and Munari jumped to head the ball past Kosicky. Tiribocchi and Papadopoulos combined for Lecce's second. Tiribocchi who must have some sort for record for winning second balls, held up play after a team-mate launched a ball from outer space, Papadopoulos returned his pass, Tiribocchi tackled Potenza before he could get distance on his clearance and strode through before shooting past Kosicky. Sciacca's 25 yard drive ricocheted off the inside of a left post and Martinez banged home the rebound. Lecce were robbed of a clear penalty and hanging on for grim death until Sciacca's late bullshit dismissal.

Attendance : 9,450
Red Card : Sciacca 91 (Catania)
Assists : Zanchetta, n/a, n/a

MILAN 3 (Kaka' 10 Pen, Inzaghi 19, Kaka' 56 Pen)
PALERMO 0

Milan headed into this game on the back of five wins in their last six games and Cassani made Palermo's task doubly difficult when he kicked out at Ambrosini to concede a penalty which Kaka' converted with his usual efficiency. Inzaghi's 10th goal in seven games quickly followed from an Ambrosini cross. Bovo was sent off for kicking Kaka' and the Brazilian despatched his second penalty after Balzaretti held him back.

Attendance : 55,000
Red Card : Bovo 48 (Palermo)
Assists : Ambrosini (won pen), Ambrosini, Kaka' (won pen)

REGGINA 2 (Barilla 27, Hallfredsson 69)
JUVENTUS 2 (Del Piero 48 Pen, Zanetti 73)

Buffon has got into the habit of making mistakes in recent months and another one gifted Reggina the lead. Reggina won possession deep in the Juve half and the ball was played out wide to Adejo, Barilla headed his cross straight at Buffon but he flapped at the ball effectively parrying it into his own net. Adejo made a superb tackle on Iaquinta in the box but he giant striker went to ground and the ref pointed to the spot. Del Piero sent Puggioni the wrong way. Reggina's Norwegian midfielder Emil Hallfredsson blasted his team back into the lead with a staggeringly violent left foot shot which tore into the top left corner of Buffon's net. Zanetti marked his return from a long injury lay-off with the equaliser four minutes later when he fired a low drive through a ruck of bodies in the penalty area.

Ranieri was given the kiss of death earlier in the week i.e. the vote of confidence. I'll be amazed if he's still on the Juve bench at the start of next season. He's done a very good of bringing through younger players but his misuse of Giovinco is a sackable offence.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Adejo, Iaquinta (won pen), Brienza, Iaquinta

SAMPDORIA 3 (Marilungo 26, Marilungo 43, Cassano 86)
CAGLIARI 3 (Matri 47, Acquafresca 67 Pen, Conti 80)

Sampdoria's 19 year old striker Guido Marilungo marked his first start with a goal, a header at he back post, Cassano inevitably provided the cross. Marilungo's second, and fourth in just six Serie A appearances, was also a header. Cassano released Padalino with a glorious crossfield pass and the youngster met the midfielder's cross with a powerful header into a bottom corner. Matri volleyed Cagliari back into the game straight after the restart and on 56 minutes Mazzarri made a baffling decision and substituted Marilungo. Stankevicius' idiotic jumping hip attack on Lazzari allowed Acquafresca to equalise from the spot. Conti put Genoa in front for the first time when he found space between two defenders and headed in Lazzari's cross. Cassano rescued a point with a miss-hit volley, a rare moment of technical imperfection from this outrageously gifted but flawed genius.

Attendance : 21,500
Assists : Cassano, Padalino, Fini, Lazzari (won pen), Lazzari, Padalino

TORINO 1 (Bianchi 10)
SIENA 0

Attendance : 15,000
Assist : Stellone

NAPOLI 1 (Zalayeta 73)
INTER 0

Three Inter players converged on Lavezzi as he dribbled towards the box, he nutmegged Stankovic to play the ball square to Zalayeta and the Uruguayan cut through the ball sending a first time shot flying past a rooted Julio Cesar.

Attendance : 60,000
Assist : Lavezzi

CHIEVO 1 (Pellissier 71)
UDINESE 2 (D'Agostino 35 Pen, D'Agostino 93)

Yepes chopped down Quagliarella, who is once again suddenly in demand, to concede a penalty. D'Agostino blasted the ball straight down the middle. Pellissier's bullet header drew Chievo level but dead ball expert D'Agostino scored a rare goal from open play to take the points back to Udine. The midfielder arrived at the back post to slam Quagliarella's cross past Squizzi. A minute later Langella was sent off for a despicable foul, he jumped in the air and aimed a kick at Sanchez's bollocks.

Attendance : 10,821
Red Card : Langella 94 (Chievo)
Assists : Quagliarella (won pen), Frey, Quagliarella

FIORENTINA 4 (Vargas 6, Gilardino 47, Gilardino 67, Gobbi 73)
ROMA 1 (Baptista 86)

With his confidence lifted following his recent goal against Cagliari Fiorentina's Peruvian wingback took a pass on his chest on the centre circle, turned away from a challenge and from 30 yards sent a low drive crashing into the bottom left corner, a shot clocked at 67.72 mph. The home side were robbed of at least one penalty but would have found themselves trailing at half time but for Brighi's poor finishing. Jovetic's fabulous cushioned volleyed pass released Semioli down Roma's left and Gilardino got between two defenders to head in his 17th goal of the season. Pizarro was sent off for 'butting' heads with Semioli. Roma's crap defence tried to play offside when Montolivo dropped a ball over the top, Gilardino wriggled away from Cassetti before beating Roma's back-up 'keeper, Artur who is also Brazilian, for a second time. Artur's stunning point blank save denied Gilardino a certain hat-trick but Gobbi was on hand to tap in Fiorentina's fourth which is incidentally also the fourth time this season Roma have conceded four goals. The top heavy Baptista scored what was an admittedly brilliant consolation goal when he slalomed his way in from the left before slamming a fierce drive past Frey.

Attendance : 40,000
Red Card : Pizarro 59 (Roma)
Assists : Jovetic, Semioli, Montolivo, n/a, De Rossi
