LAZIO 2 (Rocchi 8, Pandev 89)
CATANIA 0

Assists : Ledesma (fk), n/a

PALERMO 2 (Miccoli 17, Simplicio 80)
FIORENTINA 0

Amauri, who continues to be linked with Milan, volleyed a pass to Miccoli and he lobbed the ball over Frey who was too slow off his line. The static Fiorentina defence, three games without a win probably has that effect, ball watched Simplicio dribbled past them in slow motion before scoring.

Guidolin's first win in his FOURTH spell in charge. Since Mutu went off the boil Fiorentina have struggled to score goals. They better sign a striker in January otherwise they'll miss out on a Champions League place.

Attendance : 23,000
Assists : Amauri, n/a

EMPOLI 4 (Pozzi 2, 10, 49, 64)

INTER 4 (Ibrahimovic 37 Pen, Cruz 50, Jimenez 52, Cordoba 76)

Ibrahimovic put away his second penalty of the week before Inter ran riot in the second half. Cruz got the last touch to a goalbound Ibrahimovic header. Chilean winger Luis Jimenez, now at his fourth Serie A club and on loan from Ternana, scored a brilliant third from the edge of the box, swerving the ball into the top left corner. El Chino Recoba came on mid-way through the second half just in time to see Cordoba head in Inter's fourth.

Rai and some sections of the Italian press are making out Jimenez is the new Figo.

LIVORNO 1 (Tristan 7)
ROMA 1 (De Rossi 5)

With Sampdoria leading coach Walter Mazzarri made the stupid decision to take off Cassano and four minutes later the home side were level. Quagliarella dived to head in a Floro Flores cross. Four minutes from time Quagliarella piled the misery on his former club with a superb 30 yard drive which flew into the bottom corner.
