Juve, Genoa, Inter, Lazio and Napoli away fans were banned from attending matches deemed to be high risk by the police. The bans will continue until ID cards are introduced pending a trail by Udinese later this month. Atalanta's north stand will remain closed until March.

TORINO 1 (Lanna 55)
GENOA 1 (Borriello 47)

Di Vaio's clever back heel released Fabiano and the unmarked Borriello slide in to turn the midfielder's centre past Sereni. Lanna scored a scruffy equaliser. Di Michele fell in the box as Ventola headed on a deep throw in, Lanna touched the ball back to Ventola, his shot hit Rossi and Lanna stabbed over the line.

ATALANTA 5 (Floccari 6, Langella 21, Doni 36, Carrozzieri 47, Adriano 73)
NAPOLI 1 (Sosa 60)

Floccari began the rout with a superb diving header. Garics sliced a longball straight to Langella and he ran through to make it 2-0. Doni inevitably got in on the act, tapping in Adriano's centre. Atalanta's fourth was identical as Napoli were once open ripped apart on the right flank though this time Tissone supplied the pass. Sosa scored a close replica of the Van Basten volley in 1988, from a similar angle only he caught the ball on the bounce. Man of the match Adriano nutmegged Iezzo to make it 5-1.

I keep expecting the wheels to fall off Atalanta's campaign but they continually defy the odds.

CATANIA 3 (Mascara 29, Spinesi 41 Pen, Biava 89 og)
PALERMO 1 (Caserta 63)

Spinesi 'kept' in a ball that appeared to go out of play before laying a pass off to Vargas and his first time cross was turned in by 'Mickey Mouse' Mascara (yes that is his nickname). Jimmy Fontana and Barzagli understandably vented their frustration at the ref. Barzagli pushed Spinesi in the back to concede a stupid penalty. Caserta scored a superb goal minutes after coming on as a sub for Bresciano, who is having a shocking season. He received the ball 30 yards from goal as he approached the box he feigned to shoot, throwing off two defenders, then worked an angle before finding the corner. Two minutes later he was harshly sent off for a poorly timed challenge. Martinez scored a third via a deflection off Biava's arse then performed a ridiculous break-dance celebration. He wasn't even born when that was in.

Attendance : 18,000
Red Card : Caserta 65 (Palermo)
Assists : Vargas, Spinesi (won pen), Amauri, n/a

FIORENTINA 0
INTER 2 (Jimenez 10, Cruz 45)

Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli was given a standing ovation before the match after his wife lost a long battle against cancer earlier in the week. The fans held aloft a banner which read :
"Time will lessen the pain but if you need her look to the sky. Your star will guide you forever and take you far."

Jimenez, who was surprisingly given a start, rewarded Mancini with his second goal of the week. He passed to Ibrahimovic, the giant Swede dragged the ball back before splitting the Fiorentina defence and Jimenez shot first time shot into the bottom left corner. He repeated the trick on half time to release Cruz for his seventh goal of the season.

Despite playing in second gear Inter would have won this by four of five were it not for Frey.

PARMA 1 (Paci 21)
EMPOLI 0

Attendance : 12,238
Assist : Gasbarroni (ck)

ROMA 2 (Juan 11, Taddei 27)
UDINESE 1 (Quagliarella 12)

A corner was pulled back to Giuly and his poor shot deflected to Juan and he scored at the second attempt after hitting Handanovic. With his back to goal Quagliarella flicked up a pass, turned and fired into the bottom corner though Doni should have done better but then he is rubbish as was Taddei's winners which followed a series of deflections in the box. Pinzi was sent off 10 minutes after coming on as a sub for going through the back of Juan and Dossena got a second yellow for dissent.

SIENA 1 (Maccarone 32)
LAZIO 1 (Pandev 23)

Manninger sold Loria short on a backpass and Pandev pounced to give Lazio a lead they only held for nine minutes. Their achilles heel, the awful Marco Ballotta, dropped a cross leaving Maccarone with a simple tap-in.

Lazio are just about keeping their heads above the relegation zone. Chances are their form will improve once they're eliminated from the Champions League by Real Madrid.

1 December 2007

SAMPDORIA 3 (Bellucci 5, Sammarco 56, Bellucci 76)
REGGINA 0

Cassano brought a 60 yard pass under instant control, he's still got an incredible first touch, before playing an inch perfect pass between three defenders for Bellucci to score. Reggina did well to get to half time only a goal down. Sammarco made it 2-0 from a corner. Bonazzoli let a Maggio cross run to the back post where an unmarked Bellucci took aim before firing high into the net.

Attendance : 20,000
Assists : Cassano, n/a, Maggio

MILAN 0
JUVENTUS 0

Trezeguet stuck a post in the 11th minute. Dida who has been excellent since the Celtic incident, made a great save from Salihamidzic early in the second half. Buffon earned Juve a point with excellent saves from Kaka' and Inzaghi.
