EMPOLI 2-0

PALERMO

Saudati 28

Almiron 54

Palermo have got away with defending like shit in their previous three games but this
time they paid the price. They should have taken the lead from the penalty spot but
Brienza launched the ball into outer space - the team's regular penalty taker Corini
was on the bench. They paid the price immediately when Saudati got a firm header
to Marianini's cross. Almiron picked up the ball on the left flank, turned Cassani and
Diana inside out as he cut inside the box then rifled the ball into the top left corner,
brilliant goal. Guana was shown a second yellow for kicking Vannuchi's penis.

Attendance : 4,673
Red Card : Guana 87 (Palermo)

PARMA 0-4

ROMA

Montella 6

Perrotta 45

Rosi 54

Aquilani 94

Montella, who was so disappointing against Inter in mid-week, opened his account
for the season when he raced onto a long ball out of defence and resisted two tackles
from defenders before flicking the ball past De Lucia. De Rossi sent Perrotta away to
make it 2-0 after winning the ball in midfield with a tackle bordering on a foul.
Teenager Rosi scored his first Serie A goal with a near post volley into an empty net
after De Lucia got drawn out of his box by Perrotta. De Lucia made two excellent
saves before Aquilani beat him with a low diagonal shot.

Attendance : 16,494
Assists : Ferrari, De Rossi, Montella, Faty

INTER 4-3

CHIEVO

Crespo 10

Pellissier 77 Pen

Samuel 56

Tiribocchi 87

Stankovic 64

Brighi 88

Crespo 69

Dacourt dropped a high ball over the top of the Chievo defence and as they appealed
for offside Crespo swung his left foot and sent a volley from a tight angle into the
bottom corner of the net. Samuel headed in an inevitable second, Inter were creating
chances at will, after Squizzi punched out Figo's cross. Stankovic, playing in his natural
position on the right, almost burst the net with a stunning drive and five minutes later
another fine finish from Crespo gave Inter their fourth. A mistake by Maxwell lead to
Julio Cesar and Cordoba chopping down Pellissier to concede the penalty. Cordoba
fouled Giunti and Zanetti, who was standing nearby, didn't get close enough to
Tiribocchi as he turned and blasted a shot past Julio Cesar. Brighi punished another
mistake by an uncharacteristically nervous Cordoba to drill in Chievo's third.

Attendance : 40,000
Assists : Dacourt, n/a, Cordoba, Adriano, Pellissier (won pen), Giunti, n/a

ASCOLI 1-1

SAMPDORIA

Delvecchio 16

Del Vecchio 64

The crap old Delvecchio, 300 year old Marco, headed Ascoli into the lead against the
run of play from a corner. Falcone was shown a second yellow for a minor push on
Bjelanovic but despite being a man down Samp equalised from a corner. Ascoli
should have been awarded a penalty when Palombo hauled down Bjelanovic in full
view of the ref.

Attendance : 7,809
Red Card : Falcone 55 (Sampdoria)
Assists : Lukovic, Quagliarella

CATANIA 2-2

MESSINA

Mascara 57

Floccari 32

Spinesi 62

Cordova 64

This was the second Sicilian derby of the week. Sottil intercepted an over-hit corner
and as he turned to hack clear he blasted it against Coppola and Floccari took
advantage of a kind bounce. The tiny Mascara equalised with a superb header then
took off his shirt and having already been booked a second yellow was inevitable,
IDIOT. Spinesi put Catania in front with a deflected free kick and like a complete tool
was also booked for taking off his shirt. Catania were deservedly punished for some
miserable defending, Parisi swung in a cross from the left flank and they watched it
bounce TWICE, Cordova burst into the box and thumped the ball into the back of the
net.

Attendance : 20,000
Red Card : Mascara 58 (Catania), Iuliano 69 (Messina)
Assists : Coppola, Caserta, n/a, Parisi
