INTER 2-2

PALERMO

Cruz 67

Caracciolo 3

Adriano 74

Zaccardo 46

Simplicio, who is going through a barren spell, hit a dreadful speculative shot
from distance, the ball landed at Caracciolo's feet and he bundled past Julio
Cesar. Cesar pulled off two brilliant saves, tipping an absolute missile of a
shot from Cassani against the post then made a point blank save from Bresciano.
Another speculative shot landed at Barzagli's feet, he played in Zaccardo with a
reverse pass and the defender hammered in off the underside of the crossbar.

Inter showed up in the second half. Having had a goal disallowed Cruz headed in
a deep Figo cross and he served up another one for Adriano to equalise.
Ibrahimovic, on as a second half sub, wasted the only chance to hit the winner
with a powder puff finish after great work by Adriano.

Assists : Simplicio, Barzagli, Figo, Figo

ASCOLI 2-2

LAZIO

Soncin 70

Rocchi 73

Di Biagio 76 (Pen)

Jimenez 84

Soncin took advantage of a rare error from Peruzzi, who jumped for a cross and
missed completely, to head Ascoli into the lead. Pandev got on the end of a
cross from Serie A's most improved player of the season, Argentinean midfielder
Christian Ledesma, forcing Eleftheropoulos to save but Rocchi was on hand to
slot in the rebound. Di Biagio blasted a shot against the underside of the
crossbar and as Bjelanovic attacked the rebound Stendardo hauled him down to
concede the penalty. Jimenez, Lazio's big money January signing, took
Mudingayi's cross chest before ripping a volley into the net.

Red Card : Stendardo 75 (Lazio)

LIVORNO 1-1

REGGINA

Lucarelli 28

Bianchi 31

Paulinho turned away from two defenders as he ran into the box then chipped a
gorgeous low cross for Lucarelli to slam in a volley at the back post. Bianchi
joined him on 16 goals when he picked up a loose ball on the edge of the box and
ran through unchallenged before slotting into the corner.

Attendance : 8,000

MESSINA 1-3

MILAN

Masiello 93

Kaka' 14

Favalli 30

Ronaldo 86

Kaka' ended a run of 12 Serie A games without a goal when he latched onto a
rebound 20 yards from goal and placed the ball low into the corner. Ronaldo was
dispossessed after attempted to play a one-two with Kaka', Gourcuff stole the
ball off Alvarez before he had a chance to clear then clipped a great pass into
the path of Favalli and for the second consecutive week he found the back of the
net. Ronaldo turned onto a Kaka' pass before blasting a right foot shot from 25
yards past Paoletti. Kaladze switched off to allow Masiello in for the
equaliser.

After commenting that Ronaldo was only 70% in mid-week that's exactly what
Gazzetta wrote in a headline today. He's scored 5 goals in his 10 Serie A games
so far which is an excellent return. On leaving Real Madrid he said :

"I hope Real Madrid win the league but only for the sake of my old team-mates,
not for the coach, who doesn't deserve it".

Attendance : 25,000
Assists : n/a, Gourcuff, Kaka', Floccari

PARMA 1-1

CATANIA

Couto 32

Spinesi 20

Lucenti tried to pick out Spinesi but sent his cross straight to Contini, the
defender tried to stop the ball but completely missed and it rolled invitingly
to Spinesi who shot over Bucci as he charged off his line. Parma equalised when
Couto got the faintest of touches to a Cigarini free kick.

Attendance : 14,000
Assists : Lucenti, Cigarini

ROMA 4-0

SAMPDORIA

Totti 21, 66

Ferrari 71
Panucci 87

Inspired by Carrick's excellent first goal for Man United in their 7-1 thrashing
of Roma, Totti scored a carbon copy to give Roma the lead. Despite having scored
19 goals up to this point the Samp defence didn't think it was necessary to pick
up Totti so he ran between three of them onto Mancini's pass and slotted in goal
#20 which means he's leading the ESM Golden Shoe standings ahead of Milito (19),
Drogba (18) and Gekas (Bochum, 17). Having scored twice Totti then laid on the
third for Everton reject Ferrari and Panucci completed the rout from a Mancini
free kick.

I know I should wrote this on Tuesday but 7-Up, that's who should sponsor Roma.

Attendance : 31,875
Assists : Pizarro, Mancini, Totti, Mancini (fk)

TORINO 1-2

ATALANTA

Abbruscato 70

Gallo 1 (og)

Zampagna 8

Bellini was credited with the opening goal but Torino defender Gallo got a
decisive deflection on his long range strike. Zampagna punished a mistake by
centre back Cioffi to poach Atalanta's second. Adriano was booked for a studs up
challenge. Fortunately the player on the receiving end wasn't injured. Barone
ran into Adriano to earn the defender a harsh second yellow, though he deserved
red for the aforementioned foul. Abbruscato met Ardito's cross with a muscular
header. Oguro wasted Torino's best chance to equalise.

Attendance : 23,000
Red Card : Adriano 39 (Atalanta)
Assists : n/a, n/a, Ardito

UDINESE 2-1

CHIEVO

Iaquinta 34

Pellissier 9

Di Natale 73

Pellissier out-sprinted Zapata onto a longball before lobbing over the onrushing
De Sanctis, who is having an average season by his standards. Pinzi received
possession from a short corner and stuck a cross into the centre of the box for
Iaquinta to equalise. Di Natale slipped a pass out wide to Baretto, as he ran
into the box he pulled the ball back towards the centre circle and Di Natale
sent a bouncing volley under Squizzi.

Attendance : 14,000
Assists : Squizzi, Pinzi, Baretto
