SAMPDORIA 0-2

INTER

Ibrahimovic 38

Maicon 75

Ok most of you are not going to believe this but Delvecchio was sent off for
head butting MATERAZZI in the chest and he fell clutching his face, no it's
true. Delvecchio got a red and Materazzi a yellow for diving. Ibrahimovic jumped
for a scissor kick but missed, the ball fell to Maicon, he whipped it in from
the right and Ibrahimovic jumped again and smashed his head into the back of
Falcone as he headed the ball past Castelazzi. Sampdoria were threatening an
equaliser before Maicon scored a second on the break after a failed offside
trap. Maicon poked the ball out wide to Ibrahimovic who got the break of a
deflection off Bastrini before centring for Maicon to tap in his first goal of
the season.

Attendance : 28,000
Red Card : Delvecchio 7 (Sampdoria)
Assists : Maicon, Ibrahimovic

ATALANTA 1-1

CATANIA

Zampagna 30

Morimoto 88

Donati fired a cross in from the left and Zampagna got ahead of his marked to
tap the ball in at the back post. Morimoto, who was signed by Catania in the
summer but made his debut today, scored within 5 minutes of coming on as a
substitute, pulling down Baiocco's cross with his left foot, resisting
Carozzieri's challenge and shooting past Calderoni with his right.

Attendance : 13,000
Assists : Donati, Baiocco

CAGLIARI 0-2

REGGINA

Vigiani 47, 58

Vigiani headed Reggina into the lead from Mesto's cross. Just over ten minutes
later both players combined for Reggina's second. This time Mesto fired in a
cross from the left flank and Vigiani, one of FIVE Reggina players in the
Cagliari box, got the decisive touch. This victory, Reggina's seventh of the
campaign, puts the club within two points of safety which is absolutely
remarkable given they started with an 11 point handicap.

Attendance : 10,000
Assists : Mesto, Mesto

FIORENTINA 2-1

LIVORNO

Toni 68

Lucarelli 27

Jorgensen 82

Lucarelli gave struggling Livorno a shock lead when he jinked past three players
in the box and scored via a deflection past Frey, who is still fat. Toni tapped
in a rebound after Mutu forced Manitta into a save. Toni and Jorgensen both
missed chances before combining for the winner. Toni touched back Ujfalusi's
cross and Jorgensen rifled the ball past Manitta.

MESSINA 1-2

ASCOLI

Parisi 77 (Pen)

Paolucci 90, 94

Parisi gave Messina the lead from the penalty spot. Ascoli's 20 year old striker
Michele Paolucci turned the game around with two goals in four minutes. He
punished hesitancy from Messina 'keeper Paoletti to head in the equaliser and
deep into injury time he darted between two defenders to poke Soncin's centre
into the bottom corner.

Attendance : 8,150
Assists : Iliev (won pen), Pesce, Soncin

Attendance : 41,200

ROMA 1-0

SIENA

Vucinic 62

Totti's absence gave Vucinic a rare start and he combined with substitute Tavano
for the only goal and Roma's first win of the year. Tavano chipped a ball into
the box, a brilliant first touch allowed Vucinic to ghost past two defenders and
from a tight angle he blasted past Manninger.

Attendance : 30,800
Red Card : Locatelli 91 (Red Card)
Assist : Tavano

TORINO 2-3

UDINESE

Abbruscato 77, 93

Obodo 18

Barreto 32

Asamoah 61

I'm not sure what happened to Torino's full backs or what system they were
playing because they went AWOL on Udinese's first two goals. Barreto slid a pass
down Torino's left to a largely unmarked Obodo and he beat Abbiati from close
range. Another pass down Torino's left released Barreto, Abbiati ran out of his
box, Baretto ran around him and steered the ball into an empty net. Asamoah, who
was supposed to have joined Spartak Moscow, slammed in a third from Ghanaian
team-mate Muntari's centre. Comotto slipped when trying to attack Fiore's centre
and the ball fell kindly for Elvis Abbruscato (yes that's his name) to tap in.
He scored a fine second, taking a loose ball on his chest before volleying on
the turn past De Sanctis.

Having dug themselves out of a hole following a terrible start to the season
Torino have now lost four of their last five games though they are closer to a
UEFA Cup place than relegation but only just.

Attendance : 18,987
Assists : Barreto, Ododo, Muntari, Comotto, n/a

PALERMO 0-3

LAZIO

Rocchi 45, 78 (Pen)

Siviglia 52

This was the acid test for Palermo post Amauri and they failed miserably. Rocchi
tapped Lazio into the lead on the stroke of half time following a goal mouth
scramble. Following Oddo's sale to Milan Ledesma took over free kick duty and
his cross was headed in by Siviglia via a big helping hand from Palermo
goalkeeper Jimmy Fontana, who should have saved. Rocchi converted a penalty and
Lazio's new e11 million signing Luis Jimenez got a run out for the last 10
minutes.

Attendance : 22,543
Assists : n/a, Ledesma (fk), Makinwa (won pen)
