After an uneventful first half Lazio went
ahead through Rocchi's deflected header. Manfredini should have made it 2-0 but missed a sitter, wasting Makinwa's excellent run and cross. Chiesa came off the bench and made the equaliser with an in-swinging cross from the left, Frick's header was spectacularly cleared off the line but Vergassola headed the ball back across goal and Cozza took a kick to the face as he headed into an empty net. In first half injury time Livorno were reduced to 10 men when Coppola was sent off for fouling on Adriano. Pfertzel gave the visitors a glimmer of hope with a volley on the rebound. Donati ran between two defenders, beat a third with a feint on the edge of the box then slammed the ball into the bottom corner. Stovini 40 |

Pellissier 64 (Pen) |

Stovini headed Champions League chasing
Catania into the lead from Baiocco's left wing cross. Catania were massed inside their own area following an aggressive start to the second half by their hosts. They tried to spring the offside trap after Sammarco pushed a ball through a packed penalty area defence but the awful Edusei, who retains his first team place despite regular blunders, played Semioli onside allowing him to equalise. Six minutes later Sammarco was chasing a nothing ball that was heading outside the box and Colucci came up from behind and hacked away at his legs, a ridiculous foul. Pellissier made no mistake from the spot. Attendance : 6,409 Assists : Baiocco, Sammarco, Sammarco (won pen) |

Materazzi 85 (Pen) |

Having ended a 9 month goal drought in the
previous round Adriano made it two goals in consecutive games with a standing header from Maicon's cross. Torino got a lucky equaliser just before the hour mark when Fiore's speculative shot took a wicked deflection off Materazzi past Cesar. Ibrahimovic restored Inter's lead with a magnificent volley. Stankovic chipped a ball from the centre circle upto Ibrahimovic, who was running right of centre towards the penalty box, he let the ball bounce twice then struck a high right foot volley sending the ball looping into the top left corner of the net, sensational goal. Abbiati was sent off for bringing down Adriano (didn't see a replay) and Materazzi beat Taibi from the penalty spot. With this victory Inter have set a new Serie A record for most consecutive wins (12) beating the record set by Roma last season and they've done so playing brilliant football. IF Adriano continues scoring Inter have every chance of adding the European Cup to their impending scudetto. Attendance : 25,000 Red Card : Abbiati 84 (Torino) Assists : Maicon, n/a, Stankovic, Adriano (won pen) |
