PARMA 1-2

INTER

Budan 27

Ibrahimovic 15

Cruz 92

Vieira chipped a ball into Ibrahimovic who was standing with his back to goal on
the edge of the D, Cannavaro Jr did his best to pull the giant Swede down but
Ibrahimovic ignored him as he juggled the ball off his chest, flicked it to his
right then turned and fired a volley into the bottom corner. Budan took
advantage of some abysmal non marking by Materazzi to volley Parma level from
Bocchetti's cross. Inter struggled to get out of first gear until a bad miss by
Muslimovic spurred them up. De Lucia, on for the injured Bucci, made a an
unbelievable one handed save to deny fellow substitute Cruz. He tipped Solari's
drive against the inside of a post, the ball bounced along the line and landed
at Ibrahimovic's feet and he proceeded to miss the type of chance only he can
miss, hitting the side netting with the entire goal to aim at just two inches
from the line. De Lucia made another brilliant point blank save from Cruz but he
was betrayed by Contini who sliced the ball back at him and Cruz smashed it into
the roof of the net. Ibrahimovic earned a second yellow for kicking the ball
away having earlier been booked for dissent. Ability by God, brain by Mattel.

CATANIA 3-2

LIVORNO

Spinesi 35

Bakayoko 48

Caserta 61

Paulinho 59

Corona 90

Spinesi stabbed Vargas's poorly struck volley past Amelia. Edusei fell over
after Vigiani ran into the back of him, the ref let it go, Bakayoko collected
the ball, danced past two defenders and blasted into the left corner. Paulinho
fired a ball through a ruck of players after Vigiani flicked on a corner then
was immediately substituted. Seconds later Caserta got hold of a loose ball and
sent a shot bouncing past Amelia. Livorno never recovered and following
sustained pressure from the home, a side a mix-up in their defence allowed
Corona to score on the rebound via a deflection.

LAZIO 5-0

UDINESE

Rocchi 32

Mauri 41, 74
Oddo 78 (fk)
Rocchi 82

Ledesma hit a first time pass upto Rocchi, he brought the ball under control
before beating the advancing De Sanctis with an exquisite lob. Mauri put Lazio
2-0 up with an athletic diving header from an Oddo free kick and blasted in a
second with a brilliant left foot volley. Felipe got a second yellow for
bringing down Foggia and from the resulting free kick Oddo curled the ball
inside a post, another fabulous goal. Rocchi capped off a dazzling display by
dribbling the ball 50 yards and lobbing over De Sanctis.

Attendance : 21,300
Red Card : Felipe 77 (Udinese)
Assists : Ledesma, Oddo (fk), n/a, Foggia (won fk), Zauri

MESSINA 2-2

CAGLIARI

Cordova 35 (fk)

Esposito 53

Rigano 64

Conti 93

Cagliari rode out incessant early pressure before falling behind to a 40 yard
free kick. Cordova's shot took an evil bounce in front of Chimenti and flew in
off the inside of his right post. Esposito ran onto a longball before volleying
between George's legs, he should have saved. Messina also went route one to
restore their lead, Rigano taking advantage of a lucky bounce off the back off a
defender. George made two brilliant saves before Conti beat him with a cross
that missed all his team-mates but dropped inside the top left corner of the
goal.

Attendance : 18,000
Assists : De Vezze (won fk), Conti, n/a, Langella

PALERMO 3-0

TORINO

Corini 43

Di Michele 68

Amauri 79

Corini, who in past seasons would rarely venture further than the half way line,
swept in a wayward effort from Simplicio having been denied minutes earlier by
an incredible Abbiati save. Simplicio sent Di Michele racing clear on the half way
line to score his fifth goal of the season. The part-time Italy striker could have had
a hat-trick then got bored of missing chances and threaded a pass through to Amauri
who beat Abbiati with a crisp first time shot.

Only two weeks until Palermo vs Inter. Both teams can't defend but are scoring
for fun. I can't imagine that one ending up 0-0.

Attendance : 26,600
Assists : Simplicio, Simplicio, Di Michele

SAMPDORIA 3-0

CHIEVO

Bonazzoli 18

Quagliarella 28, 36

After Obbina provided a few highlights (he should be playing for a G14 club)
Bonazzoli headed Samp into the lead from Pieri's cross. Quagliarella turned onto
Pieri's pass before beating Sicignano with a looping shot. Mandelli got caught
ball watching inside his box and motioned for his 'keeper to bail him out so
Sicignano rushed off his line, crashed into him and Quagliarella gathered the
ball, worked an opening and passed into an empty net. Cossato was sent off for
handball.

I would have put money on Quagliarella making the Italy squad, especially as
none of Italy's regular strikers, apart from the injured Toni, are playing well.

Attendance : 18,000
Red Card : Cossato 50 (Chievo)
Assists : Pieri, Pieri, n/a

FIORENTINA 3-1

ATALANTA

Mutu 26

Migliaccio 25

Pazzini 89, 94

Doni hit a free kick against Pasquale and as several players, including
Migliaccio, appealed for handball, Migliaccio quickly put his hand down and
kicked the ball into the net. Mutu fired in the equaliser a minute later after
Pazzini forced Calderoni into a point blank save. Pazzini missed two absolute
sitters and Mutu had a goal disallowed for offside. Pazzini missed another
chance, shooting straight at Calderoni however the ball rebounded back to him
and this time he kept his composure to finally score. He added a cheap injury
time second after the visitors stood waiting for the ref to stop play for an
injury to a team-mate.

Attendance : 30,337

MILAN 1-2

ROMA

Brocchi 56

Totti 6, 82

Taddei intercepted a half arsed clearance from Nesta in the Milan penalty area,
flicked the ball over Maldini and crossed for Totti to swivel a volley past
Dida. It was largely one way traffic after that with both Seedorf and Oliveira
hitting the woodwork and Gilardino going close. Brocchi, who will get plenty of
playing time now that Gattuso is sidelined, equalised with an absolute
piledriver from 30 yards. Brocchi's goal prompted Roma into action. Dida had to
be at his very best to keep up a ferocious strike from Aquilani and Totti
hammered a shot off a post. Seedorf lost possession deep in his own half,
Aquilani, who had his back to play, hit a brilliant pass with the Baggio chip
the ball over your leg trick (aka the Rabona but I refuse to use that name
because it's so f*cking gay) to Mancini, he chipped a first time pass over to
the back post and Totti powered a standing header past Dida to give Roma their
first league victory in the San Siro for almost 20 years.

Attendance : 55,322
Assists : Taddei, Kaka', Mancini
