CAGLIARI 2-2

INTER

Capone 8

Conticchio 10 (og)

Suazo 32

Solari 36

Esposito beat the awful Wome down Inter's left before swinging a cross towards
the centre of the box and Capone headed over Orlandoni. Cruz equalised with a
deflected free kick. Wome was again at fault for Cagliari's goal, this time he slipped
when attempting to clear Esposito's centre leaving Suazo with a tap-in. Cruz touched
on Pizarro's pass to Solari, he took the long way round Cagliari's defence before
beating Chimenti with a brilliant left foot shot.

Cagliari : Suazo is certain to go but no one knows where's he'll end up. He's perfect
for the Premiership.

Inter : There's a strong rumour Capello will leave Juve (sinking ship?) for Inter.
Interest in Adriano seems to have cooled. He'll put himself in the shop window at
the World Cup. Van Nistelrooy is a perfect replacement.

Attendance : 16,000
Assists : Esposito, n/a, n/a, Pizarro

CHIEVO 0-2

FIORENTINA

Toni 21

Dainelli 85

Lobont made one of those out of this World saves he's known for from a bullet header.
Fiorentina, who were under the cosh at this point, scored minutes later. Toni tapped
in a rebound after Fiore's half volley cannoned back of a post. Dainelli headed in the
second from a Fiore cross prompting a pitch invasion.

Fiorentina : Assuming they're in Serie A next season (I don't know anything about
their involvement in the scandal) they need to strengthen the defence. Riise is one of
the rumoured candidates. Bojinov has been making noises about leaving over a lack
of first team opportunities.

Attendance : 26,289
Assists : n/a, Fiore

EMPOLI 1-2

ASCOLI

Tavano 25

Budan 73, 85

Almiron helped on a corner via his back, the ball popped up and Tavano volleyed it in
at the back post. Empoli were totally on top until Pratali was sent off for no good
reason. Perulli swung a cross into the box, Coppola was too slow off his line and
Budan headed in the equaliser. Guana won a ball in midfield before threading a pass
through to Budan who rounded Balli and tapped into an empty net.

Empoli : Tavano has been linked with.. Real Madrid!

Attendance : 5,000
Red Card : Pratali 39 (Empoli)
Assists : Almiron, Perulli, Guana

LAZIO 1-0

PARMA

Rocchi 61

Lazio's president is an idiot, more on that later Anyway Rocchi scored a fabulous goal.
He had his back to play on the edge of the box as Zauri chipped up a pass, he
bounced the ball of his chest, turned and blasted a right foot volley into the
bottom corner.

Lazio : Will miss Pandev if he returns to Udinese as expected. Lazio are one of the
best footballing sides in the league but don't have the money to strengthen the
squad, that assuming they're in Serie A next season and based on what I've read
they're in deep shit.

Attendance : 31,886
Assist : Zauri

MILAN 2-1

ROMA

Kaka' 5 (Pen)

Mexes 33

Amoroso 90 (Pen)

Shevchenko watched the game high up from one of the tiers surrounded by delirious
fans. Referee De Marco gave Milan a cheap penalty when Gilardino went down after
a tussle with Cufre. Kaka' converted. Gilardino had a chunk of Mexes' shirt as he tried
to attack a free kick, Dida helped him out by completely missing the ball - just as
I said he had recovered his form. Totti made his return from injury a minute later.
Kaka' missed two great chance to restore Milan's lead. Pirlo headed Doni's goalkick
straight to Taddei who had all the time in the World to beat Dida but shot weakly
and early. Bovo hauled down Gilardino to concede a second penalty and Kaka' passed
up the chance to score a second by giving Amoroso a shot at his first Milan goal.
Galliani and Berlusconi, who has a lot of free time thesedays, couldn't bear to look
but he converted.

Simic should have been sent off for planting a knee into the back of Mancini. Roma
had a penalty appeal turned down when Nesta pulled back De Rossi but then he
does it every week.

Milan : No mention of Van Nistelrooy as a replacement for Shevchenko, it looks like
Henry and Eto'o are the targets and Gallas is almost certain to arrive with
Shevchenko headed to Chelsea. Unless new revelations come to the fore Milan will
probably escape any major action from the on going investigations.

Roma : One of the few big clubs to escape mention in the scandal but then they've
had their share of problems in recent years. The club are in desperate need of a
striker, Mido will probably be sold, and could use a new right back. Roma continue
to produce outstanding youngsters, especially in midfield. The giant 16 year old
striker Okaka looks a great prospect.

Attendance : 66,305
Red Card : Bovo 90 (Pen)
Assists : Gilardino (won pen), Bovo (fk), Gilardino (won pen)

PALERMO 1-0

MESSINA

Godeas 32

Palermo : A good squad that should have challenged for a UEFA Cup spot. They've got
money and in Di Michele a dynamite striker.

Attendance : 26,558
Assist : n/a

REGGINA 0-2

JUVENTUS

Trezeguet 23

Del Piero 91

Juve needed a point to retain the scudetto and as Paparesta wasn't officiating there
was no danger of screwing up. Pelizzoli made a brilliant save from Cannavaro's
outrageous back heel volley (from a corner) and Trezeguet headed in the rebound.
Del Piero came off the bench to score his 12th goal of the season and usher in the
celebrations.

Juventus : Well what can you say? Another tainted title. The evidence against Juve is
overwhelming with direct links from master manipulator Luciano Moggi to the very
top officials in the Italian game including FIGC Vice President Innocenzo Mazzini and
president of the UEFA referees commission Pierluigi Pairetto. If the past is anything to
go by they should be relegated to Serie B at the very least. It's worth nothing however
they've came through the steroid scandal unscathed and are Italy's most popular club
and, from a commercial stand point, most important. If I wanted to watch something
that had already been decided I'd watch Pro-Wrestling.

Attendance : 50,000 (played at a neutral venue, Bari's stadium)
Assists : n/a, Nedved

SAMPDORIA 1-3

LECCE

Flachi 92

Del Vecchio 24

Konan 52, 85

Del Vecchio tapped into an empty net after Castelazzi parried from Vucinic. Cichero
pulled the ball across the face of goal and Konan slammed it into the back of the net
and ran past a static defence to head in his second. Flachi, who played for himself all
match (shooting on sight, never passing) hit a stunning long range shot in injury time.

Attendance : 22,000
Assists : n/a, Cichero, Billy, Palombo

SIENA 0-0

LIVORNO

Attendance : 7,000

TREVISO 2-1

UDINESE

Borriello 37 (Pen), 77

Pieri 17

Pieri made a ran from the half-way line and as he played a one-two with Barreto on
the edge of the box the striker was chopped down by two defenders, Pieri flicked up
the ball then lobbed over Zancope as the Treviso defence appealed for offside before
turning their back to play and walking away. After a brief hold-up the ref consulted
one of his assistants and awarded the goal. Muntari made a spectacular one handed
save from Borriello's goal-bound shot, earning an instant red card. Borriello tapped
the ball past Paoletti then headed a superb winner from a Filippini cross.

Galeone's first loss as Udinese coach

Attendance : 4,000
Red Card : Muntari 35 (Udinese)
Assists : Barreto, n/a, A Filippini
