CAGLIARI 3-1

PARMA

Capone 10

Corradi 74

Suazo 31 (Pen)
Esposito 62

Cagliari had already gone close to scoring twice before Capone gave them the lead.
Suazo pulled back a cross towards Esposito, De Lucia pushed the ball away and
Capone fired in via Cannavaro Jr's handball. Gobbi threw himself over Cannavaro's
outstretched leg to win a penalty which Suazo despatched emphatically and after
news had filtered through that Reggina had taken the lead against Messina, Esposito
made it 3-0 on the break, stepping inside Couto and firing a right foot shot inside the
post. A corner was played out to Bonera and his cross was headed in by Corradi.

Attendance : 14,000
Assists : n/a, Gobbi (won pen), Capone, Bonera

CHIEVO 4-4

ROMA

Amauri 8, 36

De Rossi 3, 13

Luciano 49

Taddei 25

Pellissier 61 (Pen)

Dacourt 62

Half expecting the ref to award Roma a free kick after Taddei went down 35 yards
from goal, the Chievo defence were slow to react when Cufre chipped a ball into the
box and De Rossi took advantage of Lanna's slip to score. Amauri tapped in the first
equaliser after Doni spilled a shot. De Rossi headed Roma back in front from a corner.
Fontana made a fantastic save from a Mancini penalty but Roma went 1-3 up following
a triangle on the edge of the box, Taddei getting between three defenders to volley
De Rossi's pass into the corner. Luciano stole a ball off Dacourt before passing out
wide to Amauri who punished Doni for straying off his line. Doni, who up until this
point had looked extremely suspect, made a fantastic save from a Pellissier header.

Semioli collected a pass out of defence and carried the ball 50 yards before playing a
one-two with Amauri and passing to Luciano who was unmarked on the right side of
Roma's defence, Doni had once again strayed off his line and the midfielder screwed
a shot into the bottom left corner. Pellissier conned the ref into awarding a penalty
and scored to make it 4-3. A minute later Dacourt turned onto a ball after colliding
with a team-mate and beat Chimenti with an amazing lob from 25 yards.

Totti should be back for Roma's cup match with Inter in mid-week. Given the chance,
De Rossi could have a blockbuster World Cup.

Attendance : 9,000

Pellissier (won pen), Alvarez

EMPOLI 1-0

INTER

Materazzi 91 (og)

This was one of the best own goals you could ever hope to see, a 50 yard lob from
the half way line. I don't think Materazzi was too happy to receive congratulations
from the Empoli staff.

Attendance : 6,500

LAZIO 1-0

LECCE

Rocchi 57

Attendance : 25,000
Red Card : Babu 83 (Lecce)
Assist : Pandev

MILAN 2-0

LIVORNO

Inzaghi 28, 65

Inzaghi volleyed Milan into the lead from Jankulovski's cross. Stam went off with a
shoulder injury after colliding with Dida. If it's remotely serious that's his last ever
game for Milan. Inzaghi volleyed in a second after Shevchenko's cross took a deflection
off Cafu. Shevchenko looked more miserable than usual when he was substituted a
minute later. Dida made a fantastic late save from Lucarelli.

The good news for Brazil is that aside from some dodgy handling against Inter, Dida
has been something like back to his best in recent weeks and for the Czechs
Jankulovski is also looking sharp, his confidence lifted after scoring against Messina
last week.

Remaining fixtures.

JUVENTUS : Palermo (H), Reggina (A)
MILAN : Parma (A), Roma (H)

Attendance : 62,000
Assists : Jankulovski, Cafu

PALERMO 1-0

FIORENTINA

Di Michele 53

Attendance : 30,000
Assist : Brienza

REGGINA 3-0

MESSINA

Cozza 51
Amoruso 58 (Pen)
Bianchi 76

Biondini intercepted a hospital pass and threaded the ball through to Cozza who shot
first time past Storari. Zoro chopped down Tedesco to concede a penalty. Parisi was
sent off for an appalling foul from behind on Cozza, who was substituted minutes later.
Bianchi swept home Amoruso's centre and to compound Messina's misery Storari was
stretchered off with a hand injury.

The Reggina supporters held aloft a HUGE banner with B in Messina's colours, they
are relegated after this loss presumably due to an inferior head to head against the
only team they could have caught - Siena.

Attendance : 14,000
Red Card : Parisi 62 (Reggina)
Assists : Biondini, Tedesco (won pen), Amoruso

SAMPDORIA 1-1

UDINESE

Flachi 61

Di Natale 57

Di Natale was standing on the left flank when he received a pass, he took a couple of
steps forwards to the edge of the box and hit the most extraordinary shot, the ball
arched away from Antonioli into the top right corner. Samp equalised on the break,
Volpi sent a ball through to Flachi, who had been struggling with an ankle problem
all match, and he pushed the ball wide of Zapata before bursting the back of the net.
Iaquinta dribbled past the entire Udinese defence only to see his shot brilliantly tipped
away by Antonioli.

Attendance : 21,000
Assists : Muntari, Volpi

SIENA 0-3

JUVENTUS

Vieira 3

Trezeguet 5

Mutu 8

Vieira headed in a Nedved corner. Trezeguet smacked in a loose ball after the Siena
defence literally fell over themselves when trying to tackle first Nedved then Del Piero.
Juve made it 3-0 on the break, Del Piero threaded a ball to big chocker Vieira and as
Fortin came off his line he gently pushed the ball to Mutu leaving him with an empty
net. Ibrahimovic would have missed. Juve sat back and watched Siena miss half a
dozen clear chances.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Nedved (ck), Del Piero, Vieira

TREVISO 2-2

ASCOLI

Reginaldo 14

Foggia 12, 81

Boriello 28

Bjelanovic flicked on a cross to Foggia, a brilliant first touch took him away from a
defender and he curled the ball in off a post. Reginaldo equalised with a fantastic
shot from 25 yards which swerved before dipping under the crossbar. Reginaldo
back-heeled a pass into Boriello and he waltzed through the Ascoli defence before
slotting into the bottom corner. Both strikers were linking well and it seemed only a
matter of time before they scored again however Reginaldo went off with an injury
at half time, allowing Ascoli back into the game. Foggia profited from some charitable
defending to equalise.

Attendance : 3,400
Assists : Bjelanovic, Borriello, Reginaldo, Parola
