ASCOLI 2-2

CHIEVO

Paci 45, 63

Amauri 25, 94

Despite being shadowed by two defenders Amauri managed to turn and catch
Coppola by surprise with a low shot. Paci headed in the equaliser from a corner in
first half injury time then gave Ascoli the lead when he got on the end of a quite
excellent cross from goalscoring centre back Domizzi. Amauri received a pass on the
right wing, beat two defenders and screwed a shot into the bottom corner.

Attendance : 13,200

CAGLIARI 0-2

REGGINA

Lucarelli 8

Tedesco 20

Paredes headed on a free kick and Lucarelli met the ball with a standing header at the
far post. Tedesco's spectacular long range shot beat Chimenti all ends up.

Having ended an almost 2 year wait for an away victory Cagliari follow that up with
a home loss against another struggling team, typical.

Attendance : 10,200
Assists : Paredes, Biondini

EMPOLI 2-1

LIVORNO

Tavano 39

Lucarelli 87 (Pen)

Busce 51

Tavano followed up his high quality strike at Reggina with another against Livorno.
Rigano headed down a free kick and Tavano sent a right foot volley screaming into
the net. Busce, who is Empoli's main supply line, scored his first goal of the season
after Vanucchi ran 50 yards (unchallenged) before passing the ball out wide, Busce
finishing with a first time shot. Livorno had a goal disallowed for offside (debatable)
and also hit the woodwork prompting the ref to give them a late charity penalty,
emphatically despatched by Lucarelli.

I expect Tavano to end up at a club like Roma, the big three won't touch him because
of his age (27) and because they're well stacked in that area.

Attendance : 7,000
Assists : Rigano, Vanucchi, Lucarelli (won pen)

LAZIO 2-0

SAMPDORIA

Palombo 70 (og)
Oddo 90 (Pen)

Samp defender Falcone had to be stretchered off at half time after getting KTFO
following a clash of heads with Belleri. Liverani touched a free kick to Oddo and his
violent strike was headed in by Palombo, who is lucky he didn't join team-mate
Falcone on a stretcher. Oddo tapped in a penalty awarded for handball.

MESSINA 1-1

UDINESE

Di Napoli 31

Odobo 38

Di Napoli scored an excellent opening goal. With his back to play he spun onto a cross
then rifled it past De Sanctis. Odobo equalised with a perfectly placed low drive from
30 yards.

Udinese are onto coach #3 - Giovanni Galeone.

Attendance : 30,000

LECCE

Bogdani 85

Giacomazzi 4

Vucinic 71

Babu' pulled down a cross, skipped past a defender and laid a goal on a plate for
Giacomazzi. Pinardi chipped a ball around the outside of the Siena defence and
Vucinic darted across the box before volleying between the 'keeper and post. Siena
caught Lecce with a quickly taken free kick.

Attendance : 7,000
Assists : Babu', Pinardi, Locatelli

JUVENTUS 1-1

ROMA

Emerson 33

Kharja 85

Del Piero picked up a muscle injury which rules him out of Juve's champions league
match against Arsenal. Roma were playing the football but it was Juve who took
the lead, Emerson scoring against his former club from a corner. Juve suddenly
woke up and started to play. Trezeguet should have doubled their advantage going
into half time. Perrotta gave Nedved a taste of his own medicine when overreacting
to a slow elbow into the ribs, earning the midfielder a second yellow. Kharja headed
in the equaliser ten minutes after coming on as a sub for Dacourt.

Attendance : 25,000
Red Card : Nedved 47 (Juventus)
Assists : Camoranesi (ck), Taddei (ck)

MILAN 3-1

FIORENTINA

Shevchenko 20

Toni 13

Kaka' 48
Gattuso 60

Ujfalusi lost his marker on a free kick, which wasn't too difficult given it was Serginho,
headed the ball across goal and Toni just beat Dida to the ball. Shevchenko scored a
FANTASTIC equaliser. He carried the ball 40 yards before running into traffic, Pirlo
intercepted a clearance and slipped a pass through the Fiorentina defence as they
sprung the offside trap, Shevchenko sent Jorgensen crashing to the ground by
stepping inside the midfielder then beat Lobont with a firm shot at his near post.
Costacurta, who gave an extraordinary performance at right back, made the second
for Kaka' with an excellent deep cross. Lobont was beater at his near post a second
time when Gattuso tried his luck after Seedorf and Serginho worked a short corner.
Fiorentina gave up when they subbed Toni with 13 minutes to go.

Attendance : 64,000
Assists : Ujfalusi, Pirlo, Costacurta, Serginho
