CHIEVO 1-1

SAMPDORIA

Scurto 61

Kutuzov 30

Kutuzov showed an outstanding first touch to bring a high long ball under control
before lobbing over the onrushing Fontana. Scurto volleyed in the equaliser from a
corner.

Attendance : 5,005
Assists : Volpi, Semioli

FIORENTINA 2-1

INTER

Brocchi 10

Recoba 84 (fk)

Jimenez 60

Fiorentina took the lead through an unlikely source. Brocchi, who hasn't scored since
the last day of the 2003-2004 season, latched onto a clearance from a corner and hit
a shot which bounced in front of Cesar and over his head. At the other end Lobont
kept Fiorentina in the lead with two brilliant saves from Veron and Stankovic. Jimenez
had an immediate impact when coming on as a sub for the extremely poor Bojinov.
Fiore crossed from the right and the midfielder managed to get in front of Samuel to
volley past Cesar, excellent finish. From a silly angle Recoba blasted a free kick in off
a post.

JUVENTUS 1-1

PARMA

Ibrahimovic 44

Dessena 39

Parma shocked Juve with a crap goal. Bresciano inadvertently dummied the ball
when trying to collect a pass, Cannavaro slipped, Balzaretti, who has been
getting a fair amount of playing time in recent weeks, was slow to react and
Dessena tapped into an empty net after Buffon decided to take a walk.
A magnificent pass from Mutu and a slip from Cannavaro Jr allowed a newly
shorn Ibrahimovic to volley Juve Blasi sold Buffon short with a hospital pass but
big donkey Corradi failed to take advantage and missed an open goal. Del Piero
hit the crossbar twice, on the second occasion from the penalty spot following
Vieira's ridiculous dive.

Attendance : 25,719
Assists : Marchionni, Mutu

LECCE 1-2

EMPOLI

Ledesma 80 (Pen)

Almiron 2

Tavano 41 (Pen)

Almiron usually scores blockbuster goals but this one was fairly routine after he ran
onto Tavano's KNOCKDOWNNNNNNNNNNN (watch Fight Club on Eurosport).
enussi should have been sent off for checking Tavano in the box but the striker gained
revenge from the penalty spot. Another stupid challenge saw the ref point but despite
Ledesma's penalty Lecce failed to trouble Empoli.

Attendance : 9,753
Assists : Tavano, Tavano (won pen), Vucinic (won pen)

TREVISO

Kaka' 14
Shevchenko 53, 65
Gilardino 62
Inzaghi 73

After some failed experiments with alternative formations Ancelotti went back to
something like the usual 4-1-3-2 only Pirlo didn't play and I'm not sure where Vogel
lined-up. Kaka' began the rout with a beautiful goal. Serginho lobbed a pass over the
Treviso defence to Gilardino, he controlled the ball on his thigh before laying it off to
Kaka' who hit a rising, first time shot into the top corner. Shevchenko held off his
marker to score from a deflected pass and, despite more blatant shirt pulling, Gilardino
held off a defender to make it 3-0. Shevchenko got his second with a brilliant strike.
He collected a pass on the right wing and cut inside Reginaldo before unleashing a left
foot shot with beat Sereni all ends up. As I've said before I've never seen a striker
shoot with so much power off both feet. Ancelotti denied Shevchenko the chance to
sore a guaranteed hat-trick when he substituted him for Inzaghi a minute later and he
duly added a fifth when Sereni failed to hold from Kaka'.

ROMA 4-3

CAGLIARI

Perrotta 25

Bovo 15 (og)

De Rossi 35

Langella 19

Totti 79 & 91 (Pens)

Cufre 55 (og)

Suazo's shot took a wicked deflection off Bovo and looped over Doni's head before
dropping into the back of the net. Langella profited from Mexes going to sleep
on a cross to make it 0-2. Roma began the comeback with another of their slick
goals. Perrotta volleyed forward Aquilani's pass, Totti held up the ball before playing
it back and Perrotta picked his spot. De Rossi equalised with a close range header
after Panucci helped on a free kick. Bizera should have been sent off for a flying elbow
attack on Taddei. The ref, probably realising his mistake, made amends when he
gave the defender a second yellow for a nothing challenge on Taddei. Cagliari went
back in the lead when Cufre deflected Conti's free kick past his own 'keeper. Bovo was
given his marching orders for bringing down Suazo. Totti drew Roma level again from
the penalty sport after Canini pulled him down and converted a second in injury time
to make it 8 wins in a row.

Attendance : 0,000
Red Cards : Bizera 45 (Cagliari), Bovo 75 (Roma)
Assists : n/a, Esposito, Totti, Panucci, n/a, Totti (won pen), Alvarez (won pen)

UDINESE 1-2

REGGINA

Iaquinta 16

Amoruso 41, 61

Things seemed to be going well for struggling Udinese when Iaquinta, back from injury,
headed in a free kick. He had a shot cleared off the line and presented Felipe with an
absolute gift but the defender slipped when trying to attack his team-mates cross.
Amoruso got Reggina level completely against the run of play when he latched onto
Tedesco's poorly struck shot and held off Natali to score. In the second half Amoruso
intercepted Zapata's poor clearance, feigned to shoot with his left foot, taking him
inside  Natali, the fired into the bottom corner with his right.

Udinese are closer to the relegation zone than the UEFA Cup. I don't know how Cosmi
is still in charge though I blame the Iaquinta mess at the start of the season for the
team's problems, they never recovered.
