INTER 3-2

CAGLIARI

Martins 10

Esposito 19

Adriano 14, 58 (Pen)

Samuel 83 (og)

Seconds after Patrick threatened Inter on the break, Stankovic hit a longball out of
defence to Martins who showed all his pace and power to hold off Bizera and fire into
the corner. Of course Martins should have been away on international duty with Nigeria
but I'm guessing because Obbina had been called-up the Nigerian FA gave him an
extra few days. Adriano tapped in a second after Zanetti charged down the right flank
before pulling the ball back across the face of goal. Patrick was proving a real handful
and after outstripping Zanetti onto a through pass centred for Esposito who beat Cesar
with a precise first time shot. The ref gave Inter a complete gift of a penalty when
Adriano, clear on goal, managed to lose his balance as he was about to pull the
trigger. Samuel deflected Patrick's fiercely struck free kick past Cesar.

If any coach is in the market for a striker then could do a hell of a lot worse than
Suazo. This guy is so damn quick, so strong, an amazing dribbler and has the most
explosive shot in the game.

LIVORNO 2-2

SIENA

Morrone 24

Locatelli 8

Tudor 52 (og)

Chiesa 58 (Pen)

Siena took the lead with an excellent goal. Chiesa back-heeled to D'Aversa, he hit
a first time cross to the back post and Locatelli volleyed into the corner. Lucarelli
helped set-up the equaliser when he chested down Coco's cross to Morrone. Tudor,
under considerable pressure from Lucarelli, headed into his own net. Lucarelli
conceded a penalty with a sloppy handball and Chiesa blasted into the bottom corner.

UDINESE 2-2

TREVISO

Motta 12

Pinga 33 (fk)

Di Natale 72 (Pen)

Dellafiore 57

Motta smashed Udinese into the lead after one of Treviso's new signings, Guigou, got
in his 'keepers way when he came for a cross. De Sanctis took a knock a few minutes
later and was beaten by a Pingu free kick and made an uncharacteristic error on a
corner to give Treviso a surprise lead. The ref gave Udinese a soft penalty and
Di Natale sent Zancope' the wrong way and sparred Cosmi the sack, at least for
another week.

Attendance : 15,000
Assists : Tissone, ? (won fk), n/a, Di Natale (won pen)

ASCOLI 3-1

EMPOLI

Ferrante 37

Almiron 45

Bjelanovic 70
Domizzi 77 (fk)

Empoli goalkeeper Balli rushed off his line to attack a free kick but missed the ball
leaving Ferrante to head into an empty net. Almiron's brilliant header gave Empoli
a scarcely deserved equaliser at half time. Bjelanovic restored Ascoli's lead with another
great header, some of the crossing in this game was superb. Raggi was harshly sent
off for pushing Bjelanovic and from the resulting free kick Domizzi fired past Coppola.

Empoli pulled clear of the relegation zone a couple of months ago but a dreadful
run of results has seen them sucked back in.

Attendance : 9,000
Red Card : Raggi 75 (Empoli)
Assists : Foggia (fk), Busce, Foggia, Bjealanoic (won fk)

FIORENTINA 2-1

CHIEVO

Toni 35, 91

Zanchetta 70 (fk)

Toni ended his mini goal drought with the simplest of finishes after Lanna left him
unmarked to tap-in Jorgensen's centre. Zanchetta equalised with what appeared to
be a great free kick although Cejas was in goal. Toni headed in a deserved last minute
winner from Pasquale's teasing cross.

Attendance : 20,000
Assists : Jorgensen, n/a, Pasquale

PARMA 1-1

LAZIO

Corradi 39

Rocchi 5

Couto gave the ball to Oddo on the edge of the area with a terrible clearance, Oddo's
shot took a couple of deflections and Rocchi reacted quickly to turn and shoot past
Guardalben. Grella hit a long ball over the top of a Lazio defence attempting to play
offside allowing Marchionni to race upfield and centre for Corradi to equalise.

I have no idea why Couto is still playing professional football in fact I've never
understood how he became a registered footballer, there should be an exam -
he'd fail.

Attendance : 13,734
Assists : n/a, Marchionni

LECCE 0-3

SAMPDORIA

Diana 22

Del Vecchio 45 (og)

Bazzani 48

Last week I said Sampdoria's mix of long balls and crosses from the flanks were
useless without Bonazzoli so this week Novellino stuck 6ft 2in Colombo in attack and
he was the difference maker. He laid on the first by heading on Volpi's corner for
Diana. After Samp doubled their lead with a with a deflected free kick, Colombo did
a spot of ball juggling before passing to Bazzani and he ran between two defenders
and beat Benussi with a horribly, weak girly shot.

Attendance : 11,399
Assists : Colombo, n/a, Colombo
