Toni 17

Pellissier 10

Zauli 28

Semioli 56

Brighi flicked on a monster throw in and Pellissier held off Barzagli before firing into
the net. Toni equalised with a fantastic flick header from Santana's cross. There were
some minor skirmishes in the crowd and a fire was started underneath a stand. Zauli
intercepted a hospital pass, dribbled past a defender and from a ridiculous angle
curled the ball inside the far post. Brilliant strike. Surprisingly Chievo dominated the
start of the second half. Semioli smashed in the equaliser after Guardalben parried
from Pellissier.

BOLOGNA

Cannavaro 18

Giunti 27

Zalayeta 24

Bologna started well but it was Juve who took the lead when Cannavaro met
Camoranesi's cross with a brilliant leaping header. Zalayeta headed in Juve's second
from Camoranesi's free kick. Giunti reduced the arrears with an excellent shot from a
free kick but didn't trouble the Juve goal. Del Piero and Trezeguet missed absolute
sitters in the second half.

LECCE 5-3

LAZIO

Dalla Bona 5 (Pen)

Rocchi 31, 52, 58

Vucinic 47, 78, 82 (fk)
Diamoutene 71

Dalla Bona converted a penalty won by Eremenko. Rocchi equalised from the most
amazing of passes. Antonio Filippini, standing on the right touchline, curled a rolling
ball, almost free kick like, around the Lecce defence and Rocchi shot first time under
Sicignano. Lopez, who had conceded the penalty, failed to cut out a cross from
statistically the player who is statistically the World's best attacking full back Audio
Cassetti (8 league assists including this one), Vucinic controlled the ball with his hand
before rolling into the corner. Cesar talked himself into a second yellow after
protesting. 2-1.

Rocchi scored a fantastic equaliser. Having been chased away from goal he turned
suddenly, feigned to shoot causing Stovini to lose his balance then curled a right foot
shot past Sicignano. Rocchi was standing in an offside position as Lecce sprung their
trap on the half way line, Antonio Filippini however wasn't standing offside so as ran
past the defence Rocchi turned and ran with him, a simple pass and a left foot shot
gave Lazio the lead. Dalla Bona was sent off for 'kicking' Liverani, there appeared
to be no contact. Diamoutene headed in the equaliser from Ledesma's corner.
Vucinic scored Lecce's 4th after playing one-two with Valdez and completed his
hat-trick with a superb free kick.

Volpi 75

Volpi's shot looping over Eleftheropoulos after taking a wicked deflection off Flachi.
Zampagna rode a tackle from Castellini before cracked a low shot past Antonioli.
Messina hit Samp with a fantastic counter attack. Aronica won the ball in his own half
with a strong challenge then ran half the length of the pitch before playing a one-two
with Di Napoli and crossing for Zampagna to head in at the back post. Volpi slammed
in the equaliser after Messina made a mess of a corner. Both teams hit the woodwork
late on.

PARMA 6-4

LIVORNO

Gilardino 3, 37, 72, 85

C Lucarelli 22, 24,

Pisanu 27

58 (Pen), 73

Simplicio 47

Gilardino got the faintest of touches on a deflected cross but Livorno hit back with two
quick goals. Colombo's clever reverse pass confused Parma defence and Lucarelli fired
into the corner. Two minutes later Bonera failed to pick him up on a free kick and he
headed past Frey. Livorno threw away the lead following more poor set piece
defending, Pisanu smashed in at the second attempt after his initial effort was
saved. Morfeo flicked on Pisanu's cross to Gilardino, who was standing offside, and
he skipped a challenge from Amelia before tapping into an empty net, 3-2.

At the star of the second half Contini over hit a cross, Pisanu managed to pull the ball
down and rolled it to the edge of the box where it was met by Simplicio. Lucarelli
completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Pisanu handled. Gilardino's third
was very, very special. With his back to play he flicked up Morfeo's free kick with
his right foot then hit a left foot volley on the turn and the ball flew in off a post.
Protti headed on Alessandro Lucarelli's cross and his older brother headed in a fourth
and Gilardino also scored a fourth from a cleverly worked free kick.

Sacchi was in the stands possibly watching Gilardino. The strikers move to Milan
was a handshake deal so they better finalise the deal before someone else gets
him, he's the new Gerd Muller.

De Rossi 76

Caracciolo 79

Perrotta slammed in a rebound after Castelazzi failed to a shot from Dacourt. Milanetto
touched a free kick to former Roma midfielder Wome and he thumped a left foot drive
past Cerci. Three minutes after putting his team in front De Rossi was slow to clear a
cross and Caracciolo smashed in the equaliser. Cassano conned Tombolini into
awarding a free kick but he shot straight down the middle into Castellazzi's welcoming
arms.

UDINESE 2-1

ATALANTA

Mauri 2

Lazzari 4

Iaquinta 36

Iaquinta's goal bound effort was charged down by Sala and Mauri hammered home the
rebound. Atalanta hit back immediately when Bertotto inadvertently helped on
Adriano's pass and Lazzari shot under De Sanctis. Atalanta were looking good for a
second goal before an unbelievable mistake by Natali gifted Iaquinta Udinese's
second. For reasons he will only know himself he flicked up a back-pass high into the
air and Iaquinta pounced to volley in the winner.

CAGLIARI 1-1

REGGINA

Bianchi 91

Colucci 36

Bonazzoli's cross was cleared to the edge of the area and Colucci met it with an
staggeringly hard volley, sending the ball thundering into the net. Langella was
booked for protesting after he was body checked by Zamboni. His second yellow
arrived after what would have been a shocking foul - had he connected with
Tedesco. Bianchi scored a last minute equaliser with a phenomenal diving header.

Attendance : 15,000
Red Card : Langella 55 (Cagliari)
Assists : n/a, Gobbi

FIORENTINA 1-2

MILAN

Maresca 25

Shevchenko 46, 54

Milan's defending from crosses in this match was unbelievably poor. Fiorentina took
the lead from a corner. Miccoli whipped the ball into the heart of a packed penalty
area, it bounced up off Nesta's arm and with Dida racing to punch clear Maresca
bravely headed into the net. Either side of the goal Pazzini missed two routine
headers, the first of which struck the crossbar. Milan got back on level terms seconds
after the restart. Tomasson flicked on Serginho's cross and Shevchenko lost Chiellini
before stabbing over the line. The second goal was also created by Serginho, this time
he turned inside a defender before sending a right foot cross towards the back post,
Chiellini made a feeble attempt to head clear and Shevchenko headed down into the
corner. A series of refereeing decisions then went against Fiorentina. Miccoli caught
Stam dithering in possession from Dida's backpass and as he went past Stam pulled
him down - yellow card. As Pazzini pulled down a Jorgensen cross and was about to
shoot Miccoli took the ball off his feet and dragged his shot wide. Fiorentina should
have been awarded a penalty when Stam punched away another Jorgensen cross but
De Santis called handball against Miccoli (the ball struck Miccoli's arm after Stam
punched clear). Pirlo came on for Tomasson with half an hour to go and hit a gorgeous
pass upto Cafu, he plucked the ball out of the air before smashing a shot at Cejas's
near post which the 'keeper could only parry but Cafu took his second shot with his
weaker left foot, Pazzini, Vialli and Bojinov wasted further chances.
