occasions. Cafu volleyed against the crossbar mid-way through the first half and Inzaghi
almost scored with his first touch when coming on as a second half substitute but his shot
rebounded off the inside of a post. Having been denied a penalty for clear handball Milan
were awarded a spot kick when Colucci floored Kaka'. Shevchenko sent Pagliuca the
wrong way and in injury time Kaka' hooked in a loose ball following a strong run by
Inzaghi and series of deflections.

JUVENTUS 2-0 ATALANTA
Trezeguet 14, 68

The goals weren't as significant as what happened after Trezeguet had scored from
two defensive mistakes. Notorious for contributing absolutely nothing but goals and
never doing anything outside the box he dropped back into midfield and linked superbly
with Ibrahimovic. He released the giant Swede with a superb chipped pass but Taibi
saved then he found him with a pass from the right flank, Ibrahimovic laid the ball off
to Zebina and he volleyed against the crossbar.

LIVORNO 1-2 CHIEVO
Protti 15 Cossato 49
							Semioli 57

Following the euphoria over their opening game draw with Champions Milan Livorno were
quickly brought down to Earth against Chievo, despite taking an early lead against the run
of play through Protti. Cossato equalised when Livorno failed to deal with a long ball into
the box and Semioli drifted in from the left before catching Amelia by surprise with a low
shot.

Attendance : 18,000
Assists : Vigiani, Semioli, Baronio

MESSINA 4-3 ROMA
Parisi 20 (Pen) Montella 35, 64, 69
Sullo 47
Giampa 74
Zampagna 78

It wasn't a very good week for Mexes. Following his red card on Wednesday he was
adjudged to have fouled Zampagna and Parisi put the minnows in front. Sullo restored
Messina's lead after Montella had equalised. Pelizzoli tipped Zampagna's stunning volley
against the post and Sullo slammed in the rebound. Montella equalised for the second
time with a precise shot from the edge of the box and put Roma into the lead with a
close range volley. After that he left the field injured and Messina scored twice in four
minutes to complete a remarkable victory. Giampa made it 3-3 when he latched onto
a ball after Parisi's free kick deflected off the Roma wall. Zampagna, who was really
impressive, won the match with a magnificent lob on the break.

Attendance : 33,000

INTER 1-1 PALERMO
Adriano 46 Toni 66

Inter were desperately unlucky not to come away with three points. After Adriano headed
the Nerazzurri into the lead a beautiful move down the left ended with Pasquale running
onto Adriano's first time pass and pulling the ball across the face of goal, thanks to Grosso's
timely shirt pulling Cruz failed to connect. In between beating up Materazzi, throwing
elbows and diving Toni found time to score the equaliser, tapping in Zauri's center after
the midfielder beat three players on the by-line. Inter had another clear penalty appeal
turned down for a foul on Adriano before Biava was sent off for chopping down Martins
when he was through on goal. Adriano almost snapped the crossbar in half with a
ridiculous shot from distance.

Attendance : 68,190
Red Card : Biava 81 (Palermo)
Assists : Ze Maria, Zauli

LECCE 4-1 BRESCIA
Bojinov 38, 72 Caracciolo 27
Bjelanovic 51
Giacomazzi 82

Lecce surprisingly reacted well to Brescia taking the lead. Bojinov turned onto a loose
ball and fired into the corner to equalise and Bjelanovic put Lecce in front when he
slid in to meet Rullo's center. A fantastic pass by Pinardi sent Bojinov clear and he
showed great composure in beating Castelazzi. Bjelanovic headed on Rullo's cross
and Giacomazzi blasted in a fourth.

Bojinov is a massive talent usually let down by his finishing. Keep an eye on this kid,
he could go all the way.

Attendance : 10,000
Assists : Almeyda, n/a, Rullo, Pinardi, Bjelanovic
Red Card : Almeyda 72 (Brescia)
