and Zauli missed opportunities to equalise and against the run of play Chievo doubled
their lead. Once again Cossato stole a yard on two defenders with a late run to turn
Luciano's cross into the net. Toni scored a late consolation goal from Corini's free kick

With Parma desperately searching for an equaliser Livorno swept forward on the
break and Lucarelli stepped away from two defenders before slotting the ball into
the bottom corner.

MILAN 6-0 FIORENTINA
Seedorf 16, 81
Chiellini 22 (og)
Shevchenko 52, 73
Crespo 60

Almost exactly a year ago to this day Pirlo missed a penalty in a league match against
Udinese, the club's first league defeat last season. This time Seedorf spared the midfielder's
blushes. Chiellini, half owned by Juventus, tried to clear Crespo's goal bound shot but only
succeeded in slicing the ball into the net. Milan hit four goals in the second half. Kaka' and
Shevchenko combined brilliantly for the third. Pirlo's raking pass sent Crespo clear and he
finished brilliantly, racing away from Piangerelli before shooting into the bottom corner
from a tight angle. Both striker's combined for goal number five, Crespo with a perfectly
weighted return pass into Shevchenko who broke the offside trap before poking into the
corner. Ambrosini teed up Seedorf to complete the rout.

REGGINA 3-2 CAGLIARI
Brambilla 8 (og) Langella 6
De Rosa 53, 75 Esposito 72

A beautiful opening goal on six minutes. Zola back heeled a throw in to Esposito, he fired
across the face of the goal and Langella arrived to slam the ball in at the back post.
Reggina were level within two minutes when Paredes' speculative shot took a wicked
off Brambilla. De Rosa fired in a loose ball after a series of deflections from a free kick.
Soviero failed to hold a shot from substitute Patrick Swayze leaving Esposito with the
simplest of tap-ins however three minutes later Katergiannakis did the same thing at
the other end and Reggina came away with three points. Franceschini was sent off
right on full time for going through the back of Swayze.

BOLOGNA 0-1 JUVENTUS
							Nedved 86

Huge controversy in this match. Juventus scored from a cheaply awarded free kick and
were furious with Pieri because he turned down a penalty appeal and several claims
for free kicks. Cipriani didn't help by continually diving.

LAZIO 3-3 LECCE
Rocchi 51 Babu 9, 76
Di Canio 69 (Pen), 78 Bojinov 33

A handling error by the normally rock solid Peruzzi gave Lecce the lead. Bojinov timed
his run onto Ledesma's through pass to perfection and shot beyond Peruzzi. At this stage
Lecce were threatening every time they attacked but Lazio came out fighting in the
second half. Rocchi scored a tap-in after Filippini's shot deflected off Pandev.
Diamoutene's stupid foul on Rocchi gave Lazio the equaliser from the spot. Seconds
after Inzaghi missed an absolute sitter Babu put Lecce back into the lead with a
brilliant finish from a tight angle. Sicignano screwed up a clearance and Di Canio
fired the loose ball into the corner.

Attendance : 30,000
