14 November 2004 ATALANTA 0-0 BRESCIA Attendance : 18,000 Assists : n/a CAGLIARI 3-3 INTER Zola 6 (Pen) Stankovic 35 Langella 33 Martins 75, 89 Esposito 61 Zola converted a penalty awarded for Materazzi's foul on Langella. Langella raced onto Agostini's pass and left the latest flop from the mediocre Boca Juniors side in his wake before shooting in off Toldo. Stankovic rifled in Zanetti's cross. Langella surged past Inter's disastrous defensive duo (Materazzi and Burdisso) and floated a cross to the back post where poor little Cordoba was out jumped by Esposito. Martins earned Inter a point with two superb shots on the turn. Inter now have the second worst defence in Serie A and joint best attack. Attendance : 20,000 Assists : Langella (won pen), Agostini, J Zanetti, Langella, Stankovic, Ze Maria FIORENTINA 1-1 LIVORNO Rigano 71 C Lucarelli 77 Rigano finished off a superb move to give Fiorentina the lead. Chiellini headed down Delli Carri's long ball to Miccoli and his beautiful volleyed pass was met by Rigano with a diving header. Lucarelli equalised with a fantastic free kick which was hit with such pace that Lupatelli didn't even move. Rigano missed an absolute sitter then had a goal disallowed for offside which was only fair as his first goal was also scored form an offside position. Attendance : 33,143 Assists : Miccoli, n/a LAZIO 2-1 BOLOGNA Rocchi 6 Tare 53 Di Canio 85 (Pen) Cesar is the only quality player Lazio held onto over the summer and he made the first goal with a low cross into the box. There were plenty of dirty, off the ball fouls in this match and after Tare equalised by hammering Binotto's cross into the net the players lost the plot. Dabo, who had already been booked in the first half for kicking Colucci went straight through Binotto, second yellow = red. Di Canio came off the bench to earn and score the winner from the spot. He got one yellow card for removing his shirt and another for an excellent rugby tackle on Tare who also walked for taking Di Canio down with him. Attendance : 18,000 Red Cards : Dabo 67 (Lazio), Di Canio 93 (Lazio), Tare 93 (Bologna) Assists : Cesar, Binotto, Di Canio (won pen) LECCE 0-1 JUVENTUS Del Piero 14 Attendance : 30,400 Assist : Ibrahimovic MILAN 2-1 SIENA Shevchenko 26, 37 Argilli 32 Gattuso won a ball in midfield and released Tomasson, he ran into a defender, Kaka' intercepted and rolled the ball to Shevchenko who shot first time past Fortin. Antonioli slipped as he came off his line to claim Mutarelli's cross and Toni lobbed over him into the net. Corini pressed Palombo into losing possession then rolled the ball into Brienza's path, a great first touch took him away from a defender and he slammed the ball into the top corner. Morfeo came off the bench to volley in the equaliser. Roma are lying in the relegation zone and while only three points separate ten teams many of Roma's players will already be thinking about where they'll end up in the summer. Serie A is in such a financial mess right now that someone with 1/100 of Abramovich's wealth could build a team and take them into the Champions League. Attendance : 15,000 Red Card : Tedesco 94 (Reggina) Assist : Mesto UDINESE 1-1 MESSINA Di Michele 54 Amoruso 12 Udinese stopped playing looking for offside after Parisi's shot fell to Amoruso, Sensini glanced at the ref while trying to chase Amoruso as he scored. Eleftheropoulos, who has been an absolute disaster for Messina in several matches, pulled out all the stops in this match with a serious of excellent saves but was finally beaten by Di Michele's stunning half volley.
